    Melting problem

Yes, I took down a grow out tank and put all the plants in there in the new setup, brought half the water, the filter, plants, and and fish and added my nerites. I will have to do a test. Everything is in the "normal" range, I don't know the numbers off the top of my head though

    Melting problem

I set up a new tank plants from another tanks I took down. I have nutrient rich substrate and root tabs as well as liquid fertilizers that I use and I still seem to have far more plant melting than I've ever had. Recently purchased a new light and even tried adjusting my pH levels. I have plants...

    Please help w/ mystery snails

Definitely looks and seems like breeding behavior I have many mystery snails and the tend to ride around on each other. When breading, though, they will climb on a females back like that. Some bunch up and look stressed some look like it's very normal and seem to enjoy it (obviously) aha. They...

Re-scape the whole aquarium and what are the consequences?

That sounds like a plan! Good luck, can't wait to see the finished tank!

Re-scape the whole aquarium and what are the consequences?

I think you should be fine doing that, and just removing 50% of the water. Afterwards when you fill it it might be wise to do another 20% water change, just to get any extra debris floating around. I think you have a pretty good idea on going about it. Post some pics after too

Re-scape the whole aquarium and what are the consequences?

What are you planning to do ? Move substrate and redo the whole hardscape? Or just moving some stuff and adding/removing plants?

    My fish are so stressful!!!!

Idk, I tend to add, or remove plants as well as veggie skins regularly. My hand goes in to vacuum once in a while and I hand feed my snails on occasion. On top of that I've always got my face stuck to the glass watching and observing lol. I guess at this point they're just used to me and having...

OMG the babies are adorable! I went yesterday and ended buying assasin snails instead. I've let my rams get out of hand in the 10 and 5 gallon so now I gotta cut the numbers back as I see they've been munching my plants. As for the rabbit snails I didn't like their selection so I'm going to wait...

Supposedly ohko stone reacting to acid test

Hey! I watch MD Fish Tanks on YouTube and he's used dragon stones before without problems. I've never used them before but they are gorgeous! And I'd want to use them. I agree with TClare , I'd soak them first and test the water and see where it stands! I think it should be alright.

Sweet! Maybe I'll do that today aha! I had to separate my olive Nerite from my Red Racer Nerite as he was eating his shell (I think he was jealous lol). Can't get any answers as to why, and he wasn't doing that to any other snail. (Otherwise I'd think maybe a calcium deficiency) So now my my...

    First time Dutch Style Aquarium

Shoot I guess I did, sorry! They're mostly calcium so they shouldn't alter your water much if at all, I like it for my snails it's a natural way for me to keep their shells strong and healthy. In Michigan here , I can find it fairly easy so it's free to use aha, and it's fun to look for them...
