Looking for cooler water plecos that like 75 degrees, I have a heater but the fish I already have like it at 75 degrees
Nothing huge, just a smaller pleco. No bristlenose as I already keep those in another tank and want something abit different
Solved the mystery myself.... seems that one rainbow has a sensitivity to garlic as only when I feed garlic did it react didn't put to and to together... so no more garlic for that tank funny only the one fish reacted to the garlic
What is the water volume of the tank? 29 gallons
How long has the tank been running? A year but used filter media and water from a tank that was setup for 10+ years
Does it have a filter?yes
Does it have a heater?yes
What is the water temperature?78
What is the entire stocking of this tank...
Alright that settles it, signifer it is. I have endlers so pushy fish wouldn't be the best choice for my tank... just curiosity what are the thread fin rainbow temperament?I have other tanks but mostly looking for peaceful or shy fish that aren't pushy or nippy
Celebes get 3 inches and signifer get 2.5 inches... that's to big of a difference?
I thought both types were peaceful rainbows and not nippy..... if there aggressive then I guess I'm not getting the celebes
I'm interested in both types of rainbows (celebes and signifer) and want to know if they can live together. I'm hoping their not to closely related as I don't want them to create hybrids... so are they unrelated enough not to breed together?
Time will tell, I kind of hoping he will. His father was abit odd and rolled the eggs around the tank with him so he could eat.
Maybe he's so active because of his dad making him be on the move since he was in the egg
I named him spitfire lol he's one of the babies I'm keeping as he's entertaining. Sold most of his 'normal' siblings. He's chubby and still eats and water parameters are normal so I guess he's just a odd one.
One of my baby plecos is very odd he loves to swim laps along the walls of the tank and sometimes free swims with the guppies. The other babies act normal but he always acted this way. Not sure why he does this as he's in my 29 gallon grow out tank... I have multiple caves in there and plants.
I heard alum is great for dipping new plants to get rid of pests but I can't find it anywhere in the spice isle Or baking isle at the grocery stores... but I found aluminum Sulphate in the gardening section is it the same stuff and will it work just as good
I actually got my past bettas from petsmart, the forgot ones near the back instead of on display. My last one actually was in terrible shape and in the dirtiest cup. I sorted through and put all the dead ones to the side and the dirty cups to another and got an employee and told them these were...
