    New Parrot Cichlid

Lovely! Nice tank, for now. You know you'll eventually need to move her to a larger one. Also, I would try to get her a friend, another parrot. Congrats on your new baby.

    Need Dechlorinator

If you can wait for a day, chlorine will evaporate by itself.

    Dumb Question About Filter...

You should be fine. A single betta produces very little waste, and 29 gallons is a lot of water for him.

I'm Moving! Can I Take My Puffers With Me?

Bags should be fine, if you can put them in separate bags, better.

    Happy Helio?

A weekly 50% water change should do the trick. One Betta won't produce much waste. Do watch out for overfeeding, they need much less food than one thinks. I feed mine 3 or 4 Tetra Betta pellets a day (very small pellets).

    Moving With Betta Sorority?

Why don't you set the 36 gallon up in the temporary lodging? Or get a 20 gallon at Walmart, or the LFS ? It will not be much more work than the other options.

    New Peacocks

From experience, I would worry more about the Peacocks bullying the Parrots, than the other way around.

    Single Discus In My 25g

Very clear. The 55 is a tank/stand combo I already have, but if it is too small for discus I'll have to look into some other species. Thanks again.

    Single Discus In My 25g

I'd read about the WCs and the feeding, but did not know they had parasites. Need to do some more research on that, thanks. Good point, thank you. Thanks for the advice. The tank I'd like to use is 16"x32" and 24" high, close to 55 gallon. Would it be adequate for three or four larger discus?

    Single Discus In My 25g

I am very interested on a starting a new 50 gallon (tall) discus tank. Besides the need for very frequent water changes, what makes them so hard to take care of? I am planning to raise five or six youngsters (2-3") in this tank, and then decide whether to get a larger one or re-home some of the...

Otocinclus With Betta In 5 Gallon Tank?

I am sure I have been lucky, but my bettas do not mind, gray, unatractive, fish stuck to the tank walls.

Otocinclus With Betta In 5 Gallon Tank?

If you say so... Having an established tank for the otos will provide enough algae for them to eat, nothing to do with the possible aggression of a betta.

Otocinclus With Betta In 5 Gallon Tank?

If the tank has been running for a few months, a couple of otos will do fine in it. I have had such a setup for two years.

Yes, but would be happier with a few friends.
