    Do Goldfish Bruise?

I need to get my API kit back from my friend tomorrow, but water has been pretty consistent so not expecting there to be any spikes. They're pretty active, they chase each other about so could have rubbed past something. Saw them huddled in one place today, but not sat on the bottom, just...

    Do Goldfish Bruise?

Hi everyone, hope you and your finned friends are doing well. My two are very happy in themselves, but I noticed one seems to have a bruise/graze on their tummy. Originally I thought bruise, but on closer inspection it seems ever so slightly hazy across the surface compared to the rest of the...

    Gluttons!!!!

Not only have the little piggies eaten all the duckweed, and the anubias off the new bogwood and started on the java fern, they have now managed to unravel some of the twine on said wood too!!! Get goldfish they said, fish are relaxing they said! Good job I love the little monkeys :eyeroll:

    Snail ID help please

My LFS let me have some duckweed to try soak up some of the nitrates in my tank and hopefully control the algae. I manged to pick up a hitchhiker while scooping, meet Larry. I don't want to put him in the tank just yet, mainly because my ganets will likely eat him. (He's currently in a...

Does Anyone Else’s Goldfish Do This?

Mine do this too, I did wonder. I'll have to pay attention more to who is the nudger and who is the nudgee (I did think it was equal), might actually be able to work out their sexes

    Green water

Wow! Thank you everyone for your responses! I've gone done the less light route for now, but I am debating the algaefix. It's never going to be crystal clear, I think they were truffle hunting pigs in a former life! Light has been off pretty much constantly, on for a little in the evening and...

    Green water

Hi, I just wanted to check I'm going in the right direction with trying to sort my water out as I'd rather avoid dumping a load of chemicals if possible. I recently upgraded to a 105 litre tank with a 16 watt LED tube light from a 60litre cube tank with dimmable 12 watt LEDs in white and blue...

    Need help

One of mine had a full black mohawk when I bought it and he just completely grew out of it. He also has a kink in one of his fins which has become more apparent as he has grown, but it's not caused him any bother as yet. I'm not experienced enough to say about the rot, but he's a little one...

    Found a scale

Noticed and scale in the substrate and saw that one of the piglets looks to be missing two! There isn't really anything they could get stuck on and they're pretty friendly with each other, they huddle and nudge each other, but I would say in equal amounts so not worried about bullying...
