CO2 Regulator Gauges Drop After 1 Hour

Sounds like the exact same problem but doesn’t seem to have a solution other than replacing the regulator? weird thing is that I put the regulator back on my old CO2 tank, which is an ISTA 1L (2.2Lbs) and no issues

CO2 Regulator Gauges Drop After 1 Hour

Hey all, I just got a new 10lbs CO2 from someone locally and put my ISTA regulator on it. Initially, the O Ring wasn’t tight enough of a fit and when I open the CO2 tank a loud air hiss could be heard. I immediately shut it and found a better washer fit and put it back on. No leaks via bubble...

CO2 Diffuser under Fluval 207 Canister Filter

Thank you! I might just do that, I have my in-tank diffuser right now put in another location where the outlet of the filter pushes the bubbles around. Makes me need at least 3bps for my 40 gallon long. Wondering how much better the inline diffuser would be. Do you think I can get away with...

Is this ich or velvet on my pearl gourami?

Unfortunately I didn’t quarantine him which is my fault. I do water changes 50% once a week, every Saturday. Here’s some more pics I got that is higher resolution

Is this ich or velvet on my pearl gourami?

I just got him like 5 days ago, he has these white spots on him but they’re not like dots exactly… more like shiny patches. Under the light it seems to be shiny and almost blue like. They appear on his fins mostly… I’ve been treating it as ich but doesn’t seem to be working

CO2 Diffuser under Fluval 207 Canister Filter

I have my CO2 diffuser directly under my Fluval 207 Canister Filter intake and all the bubbles can be seen going into the intake. My drop checker does not really go as green anymore, as it was before when I used the flow of water to disperse the bubbles. Also, something I've noticed is that...

    Upgrading CO2 Cylinder

Thanks for the reply, I’m actually using two drop checkers, one on the left and right of my tank. I’m not sure what my KH is for my water, I only have the regular API Freshwater test kit but I may go and get a test for KH. Does high KH mean harder for co2 to drop pH or lower is harder?

    Upgrading CO2 Cylinder

Hey all, I am a noob when it comes to CO2 and I just got this set about 3 weeks ago » CO2 Aluminum Cylinder Supply Set / 1L – Professional I noticed that I need to run a fairly high BPS ( at around 2~) for my 40 gallon long tank. The tank is about 1/3 done now, so I think I'll need to refill...

Should I Upgrade to Canister Filter

I just went and picked up a Fluval 207! It was on a great sale price at my local pet store, $140 CAD brand new. Got it up and running now, CO2 is moving a lot better because I moved the pumps around and the water flow is going properly now.

    Green Hair Algae Slowly Growing

Unfortunately the amanos (9 or 10 of them) don’t seem to be making a dent in the algae on the filter or plants. Although, they are very active I think I just have that much algae. I already have 6 otocinclus that I never see (only at night) and the glass is full of algae. Their bellies are also...

    Green Hair Algae Slowly Growing

I recently got a co2 system for my 40 long and along with it I got another LED light for my tank. It was one of the NiCrew LED ones from Amazon. So I have two of them (48inch) long ones, which I think would be considered high light? I have several red plants which is why I thought I would need...

Should I Upgrade to Canister Filter

I have a 40 gallon long that is starting to get heavily planted. I recently got a full co2 setup and been running for about 2 weeks. I was wondering if I should now upgrade my filter setup. Current setup: Aqueon Quietflow 30 Aquaclear 30 Large Sponge Filter I have been getting a lot of green...

    Fish only flashing at night

I have a 40 gallon tank with 8 neon tetras, 2 German blue rams, a dwarf gourami and 16 ember tetras. I notice that at night (lights off for a few hours) the ember tetras flash and scratch at the top of the tank where the floating plants are. Almost all of them are doing it. I had neon tetras do...

Unsure what is infecting my fish, tried different medicine to no avail

Take a look at the pictures below, they were taken back in late November. I have still not been able to find out what it is and how to treat it. They initially started on my Chili Rasboras that I did not quarantine (my mistake). It seems like white specs/strings but it isn't ich. I already tried...

40 Gallon Long Stocking - 2 Flame Dwarf Gouramis

Hey everyone, just got my 40 gallon finally setup. Moving from a 29 gallon and was wondering what stock you guys recommend? I have 2 HOB (Aqueon Quietflow 30 and Aquaclear 30) filters and 1 sponge filter running (established). I mentioned the dwarf gouramis because it seems like those two will...

Does this table look strong enough to support a 40 gallon long?

Sorry! I should have cleaned up first, I guess that sounds like straight to jail for me haha. I bought some 3/4” ply and am going to put it under the aquarium to try to get an even distribution of weight on the table.Hoping for the best!

Does this table look strong enough to support a 40 gallon long?

Here's a picture of the bottom, seems to have some support in the middle but as you mentioned, sides bow out. It's holding the 29 right now so I thought just 11 more gallons shouldn't be too bad, considering that the new tank is longer and the weight would be distributed more evenly

Does this table look strong enough to support a 40 gallon long?

Currently a 29 gallon on it (ignore the mess under lol). I was thinking it should be fine, as it supported the 29 gallon for 5+ years now. The 40 long will have more water (11G more, so around 120-150lbs) but more distributed instead of just in the center. What are your thoughts?
