Very possible if there is any surface area he is working in there.Bettas can take days to finally breed with eachother.She has little holes her fins from nipping and chasing.These will eventually heal up.If she didn't like him she would mostly ignore him or actally chase him and nip his fins...

the chasing usually tires them out she's just taking a small break.And yeah they take a while to build a good bubble nest.Is your tank bare-bottom?It's best to use that.If you have plastic plants those are good too so she has hiding places to rest in.

Oh it just takes time for them to get used to eachother.She will start flaring back at him when he starts circling the jar and flaring.If they show no interest I can only say try letting them actually be together in the tank.He may build a nest and spawn with her then.
