So an update....
The tank is going along brilliantly, the damsels will be coming out soon and will be adding different fish.
Now I am at a crossroads. This tank has horrid blue light. The newest marine has lovely light (bought with corals in mind) I am seriously thinking of pulling this tank...
I moved Beastie the eel into the pond, less water capacity but more floor space which she will appreciate.
The 4x2x2 is now heavily planted and is home to my fancy guppies(about 8-10 adults) and cherry shrimp. (around 10). Thinking it wont take them long to up the numbers lol.
I am using my freshwater kit, I still take a sample in to be tested just to be sure.
I am aware of what to check for, cycling a salt isn't much different to cycling a fresh.
I have added my 1st coral, will add more as money permits lol
LJC6780 - The bottom 2/3 or so of the rock wall is away from the back of the tank, the top 1/3 is against the back of the tank. There is a powerhead near the bottom on the right hand side, it keeps the water moving behind the rockwork
I ended up adding 3 damsels today to help with the cycling...
I am not sure I will use the mollies, as then I will need to acclimatise them back to fresh. And really I am not wanting any long term
I think I will just let the live rock and additives do their thing
Today i finally filled one of the tanks i intend to do SW in
Filled the tank added salt and let it mix. i have added a powerhead and added live rock. I notice some little crabs sneaking about.
Will be adding a few mollies to help with cycle.
So as it is now
The planted angel tank, also home to Cories, Dwarf loaches, Clown loaches, peppermint BN, Common BN, Silver tip tetra, Neon tetra, Cardinal tetra, Glolight tetra, Paradise fish, Black neon tetra, i think thats it lol
The planted guppy tank, also home to Calico BN and Bronze...
So most of the tanks are moved to the new place, I am only running the bare essentials, as I really don't want to have to move too many established tanks once the shed is built (its ordered, but may not be finished to at least FEB)
My planted tank is staying in the entertainment room...
Sorry I haven't added anything new for a while. My hubby and I have recently bought our own home. So I have been busy trying to condense down the tanks to keep just what I need running. I have also added another 2 racks to the tank totals lol (around 28 tanks)....I have an undercover...
The axi eggs (pictured above) are starting to hatch now. We will soon be doing the first cull/clean up of the batch.
We are getting there with setting up the area outside for the axi breeding and raising. I have picked up a 5ft 3 tiered stand and 2x 4ft tanks. 1 of the 4fts is home to the...
