    Funny Not Helpful!

You could probably keep an eye out for things around your house or cheap things at the store that you could use to cover the larger part of that gap. When I had a mystery snail in my 10g, I was worried about the 2x4 inch gap from where the gap for the automatic feeder set up for when I'm gone...

    Important Ill Rescue Betta

Update: Hey guys! Arlington's doing great-- all of his sores are completely healed up and he even built a few bubble nests in the last week! I used a little bit of Furan 2 when I got back to PA, but I don't think I really needed to because just having clean water and a proper amount of pellets...

    Important Ill Rescue Betta

All of these are going to be in regards to the original tank Arlington was kept in as he is currently in an emergency quarantine tank. What is the water volume of the tank? 4-5 inch cubed How long has the tank been running? Apparently since August Does it have a filter? No Does it have a...

Help Sick Bettas - Going Out Of Town! Help!!

Yeah, no no no don't add salt to the whole tank! That's definitely a quick treatment you do outside of the tank in a separate container.

Help Sick Bettas - Going Out Of Town! Help!!

My female betta gets stressed out when I do water changes (and boy is it noticeable when a navy blue and black betta gets a silver stripe running all the way down her side!), but I've worked around that just by being very gentle and taking her out of the tank if I need to be more thorough...

    Show Me Your Water Change!

I'll have to take a picture the next time I do one, but it's such a pain considering I don't have a proper siphon or gravel cleaner. I'm planning on getting one within the next couple of weeks, but it's a long bus ride to any store that sells them so I've just been putting up with how maddening...

    What Are Your Favorite Drinks?

I've done both, but if you ever have a bit of cash to splurge get vitamin D chocolate milk from the store. (That being said, the nestle mix/Hershey syrup chocolate milk taste delicious in the coffee so if you have that lying around I definitely recommend giving it a try!)

    What Are Your Favorite Drinks?

I guess? I googled it because I didn't know what that was, and that's made with steamed milk, so it's definitely close!

    Live Plants For Goldfish

My brain said 'plants' but my fingers typed 'fish'- thanks for pointing it out to me!

    What Are Your Favorite Drinks?

It is FANTASTIC; the chocolate milk cools it down enough to drink + adds some sugar/chocolate, the whipped cream (obviously) adds cream, and the coconut oil helps the caffeine high work with your body better. Plus... y'know... it tastes good.

Worried For My Tank Back Home

I'm currently about 4 hours from home and I have two goldfish in a tank back home (it is definitely too small for them, but they will be upgraded soon). I went home for a long weekend a month or two into the semester and was pretty shocked to find 1. that my goldfish had nearly doubled in size...

    Live Plants For Goldfish

I currently have 2 goldfish back home (their tank is far too small for them, but they will be getting a significant upgrade come Christmas (they basically doubled in size over the course of a month or two, which absolutely shook me because they weren't growing a tonne over the last 6 months and...

    What Are Your Favorite Drinks?

    1. Chocolate malts 2. Coffee (50% chocolate milk w/ whipped cream and a bit of coconut oil) 3. 10/10 peppermint mocha coffee 4. N/A, though based on my answers to the other questions I'm sure it'll have chocolate in it

    Betta Tankmates

Oh, the colour of the shrimp isn't important, I just read from multiple sites that people advise against housing them in a tank with light substrate. Is there a reason for that or is it just their personal preference?

    Color Enhancing Food

It seems like some brands add paprika to food for bettas, so I don't know why it WOULDN'T be safe? ()

    Betta Tankmates

I'm worried about cherry shrimp because of how light my gravel is and I don't know if it'd be safe to have amano shrimp because of the fact that my tank hovers in the high 70s, sometimes tipping into the very low 80s depending on if the weather outside warms my dorm or not.

    Color Enhancing Food

Before we switched to pellets we used flakes for my goldfish. I wasn't paying attention to the brand I grabbed and I only realized after I got back from the store that it was a colour enhancing flake. (I don't remember the brand, it was like 3 years ago) I couldn't tell you if it enhanced his...

    Betta Tank Light

Not sure, $30 ish? I have the Top Fin hinged lid right now and I like the look of that more than a really big hood. Do you have any recommendations?

Is It Possible To Overclean Your Tank?

I had fluffs of it floating in the tank and eventually slightly sticking to the synthetic plants in the tank, which is the only reason I brought up the possibility. Like I said, I really don't think it is columnaris, but I wanted to bring up the possibility just based off of my personal...

    Betta Tank Light

I'd love to have live plants eventually! I'm content at the current moment with the synthetic ones (I made sure that they were soft so they wouldn't rip up her fins) but I'm super stoked to get real plants in there at some point. I'm just a bit outside of my comfort zone with having a betta (I...
