This is a bottle of some
this is the instant ocean brand, you can use any brand of it!
if you are using...
Khulis generally would like more space to move so I wouldn't do thise
you could do a pair of honey gouramis
The endlers will breed just like guppies
CPDs also need more swimming space I believe
heres my suggestion
1x Honey Gourami
6x Pygmy Corydora Catfish
and keep the few guppies in there
If you want awesome catfish, may I suggest three brown hoplo catfish? Mine lets me pet it, has tons of personality, and eats out of my hand. Never is aggressive and is friendly to all fish! You could do those three fish and add some other cool fish?
like 10 Pearl gouramis too?
I can't speak...
This is my maintenance stuff for my tanks
I have a large gravel vac
Two 5 gallon buckets
One 2.5 gallon bucket
A few magnet cleaners
Two big bottles of prime
multiple filter cartridges of varied sizes
Basic water dechlorinators
A few medications just in case
some extra 1 gallon tanks with gravel...
Ok... I'm gonna be "that" guy....
I was like you and wanted to do a SW tank. Everyone said that small (nano) saltwater tanks would become a hassle and that it shouldn't be done.
I didn't listen to anyone and went ahead with it. About 4 months later my SW tank was a mess. Strange substance...
That could actually be the problem. If you don't have food, they may be swimming about trying to find food. Fish will eat detrius worms too so most aquariums have many but they are never seen.
as far as the planaria..
You could net them out and kill them or buy some shrimps for your tank and...
I believe that it is because rice paddies are in places that have wet and dry seasons. That is a normal or even wet season version. During the dry season it looks more like puddles. Not trying to say that bettas should live in puddles, but I believe that that is why/how that came about
Detritus worms swimming in a tank are signs of over feeding or too much poo and "dirty" water. I would just cut back on feeding or do a large water change. As far as it is for the planaria I wouldn't mess with the CO2
Oh yeah! I know Texas was trying to help! I'm just saying that I will make nessicary arrangements when it gets too big. I didn't mean to sound mad or upset, I was just saying that I will make arrangements if it gets too big. I was just wondering about upping the size of the tetra school.
Well I have a few options. One, is I can bring it back to the LFS when that happens. Two, my college may be able to provide a large tank for it. Three, my grandparents are going to create a pond on there property (far away from any other water sources) and I've heard that they tolerate cool to...
Oh ok I got you! Yeah that was more of aesthetic thing I was thinking about! Yeah I would do like 3 male guppies. You don't want any females because they will have many babies and will overstock your tank. Plus males are usually "prettier"
I said that you should do ten neons because a bigger...
All fish are doing good. The one with the bite is actually doing fine. It must have been mostly part of its fin that was nipped. Eel is doing good. Ctenopomas have lots of personality! They like Mysis Shrimp and Bloodworms, with the occasional ghost shrimp. My question, the tetras...
Phantoms/X Rays need a school of at least 6 as do Cories.
What kind of Cory cats do u want?
Yeah I wouldn't do the GBR
You could do like 10 neons and no other tetras
I wouldn't do the guppies because only two may look odd with a school and some other fish just in my opinion
If you want the...
I agree that clown loaches are awesome!! But that would mean no hoplos and I love hoplos hahaha!!! But, I wouldn't suggest bichirs because as they age they will eat the rainbows and the tetras. The ropefish would work though as their mouths stay small!! Great suggestion here!
I had two rainbows in a 38 gallon tank
they would constantly chase each other around no one ever got really hurt, one started getting a little bigger than the other and they both got into a really bad fight. In the end both died from their injuries. They were good together for a year until...
If I were you, considering it would be such a large tank
this is what I would stock
2x Angels- (you could get 3 or 4 more females to make a school)
12x Rainbows- (I would push up to 18)
12x Congos- (I would push up to 18)
MY STOCK ADDITION
18x Flame Von Rios (due to the fact that...
That should work. Just put like two fish flakes in the tank so the bacteria have food. If the bacteria die than it was a waste to use start up.
CORRECTION: If it was seven weeks ago, add some bacteria again with one flake and then the cycle should get going and hopefully it will balance before...
Yeah! This eel is one of the coolest fish I've ever kept!! It actually has a big personality: The fish will literally poke his head out of one of his many hiding spots and just stare me down for a while and sometimes come out and swim a little.
Ok so update:
Ive found that mysis shrimp and...
Ahh yes my bad, I seem to be thinking of another "pest" snail then. I know that there is one species of snail that can reproduce with itself. And I don't mean asexually... Anyhow yes, one snail may not be a problem but if the snail lays eggs it will. I see your points. There are many advantages...
I have had very picky eater bettas before. Try buying Betta pellets. These are what I feed my bettas!
If your Betta is picky like mine was, he may enjoy those pellets.
Also keep in mind that bettas live in small rice pools in the wild. They have tolerance to go weeks without food. Not saying...
this is the eel.
Its long but very skinny almost skinnier than khuli loaches. I got the two ctenopomas in there with it too.
The LFS said black worms might be good? Ill see if I can buy some tonight
But yeah the tank looks really empty with just the eel who likes to just hide and the two...
