Ok. I'm gonna switch out the gravel for some Eco-Complete and I got some driftwood and dwarf baby tears. Gonna probably go with 1 male betta and 1 snail then. Which one is best? I don't want it to breed or anything
What are some stocking option for a 10g aquarium? It is heated, planted, and has a pretty good filter on it. I was thinking maybe 2 female betta, or 2 honey gourami. I love honey gourami. Is a school possible in a 10g or would it have too high of a bioload/not enough space?
Just set it up. It's a 10 gallon. Gonna buy some front carpeting plants in a few days to fill in the front. Anyone have a suggestion that I should be able to find locally at a Petco or PetSmart? Betta is in a temporary tank until the new one is cycled.
Gorillas can climb though. Also they can pick things up like rocks and sticks. Also gorillas may not even fight, since they arent really predators. They just kind of intimidate others into not fighting.
So what? People give advice on fish they dont have all the time.
Agree on everything except the teeth filing. I have seen some people say that they do need teeth filling, and some say their teeth dont grow. Idk, but snails are a good portion of their diet anyway. Pest snails are the best...
well normally it is 1 in a 5 gallon. some people have put 3 in a 10. Indian dwarf puffers school, or at least swim together in the wild. So I don't know why people are saying they are too aggressive. :/ I have not had them but i have wanted them for a while. Some people keep them with others...
Not only that but there is Ascites as well. Pineconeing around belly area. By unrelated do you mean related by blood or just another case? Did you get them from the same place? If you did then it is probably the one they were bred from.
Have you put him in QT? If you dont have one then just go to the store and get the most cheap 1 gallon kit you can find. That will help if it is contagious. Under the very unlikely chance that it is cancer, I would worry about the baby mollies.
After researching for a few minutes it is possible that it is cancer. If so, it is most likely too late. Most of them are genetic as well, they dont show up until later in life.
Tumors And Cancers in Fish
Depending on the size of the tank you can do many things. Since mine is so small I use construction paper. I have seen people use white backgrounds and that can look nice too. If it is really big then I would get a black poster board and tape it to the back. If you want to paint it you can. The...
I run the lights from 8 am to 7pm. I use these root tabs. This happened before. It forms a thick carpet over anything in the tank. It killed some of my old plants and is looking to do the same here. My ludwigia is already losing leaves
Yea. The problem is, this tank and everything is about a year old. I just moved so it has only been setup for a month. When it was setup before I always had this problem. I will get a nerite. Are they pretty cheap? Only stores around me are petco and petsmart.
So I absolutely hate the look of algae. This stuff started growing about 2 weeks ago. How would I get rid if this stuff? It seems to be spreading and I want to solve it before it covers the whole gravel layer.
