    All but a disaster

i would look into baffeling the hob i think that is disturbing the substrate also i would definitely add more sand a 60 gallon is pretty tall and an extra 1" will not affect them much. Another option is a canister with a lily pipe on the return it give good surface agitation without rushing the...

Centerpiece Plant For A 20 To 30 Gallon Tank

20 Gallon Stocking, Lots Of Questions

Sounds like an interesting tank. I'd do one type of Zebra instead of 3 different colors personally incase they don't school/shoal around as much with different color and fin types and would absolutely at least add a smaller canister filter like a fluval206 or an AC50... I run both of those on my...

    PLant ID

not sure what type but it will do better for you if you attach the rhizome to driftwood a rock or decoration. Burying it will most likely cause it to rot eventually

    Question Feeding dish for Corydoras?

You can give it a try but my experience with Cory’s are they like to shovel their noses around so I’m thinking about 2 seconds after the food being on their plate it’s gonna end up on your substrate anyways

    Plant Sterilization

If the new tank your setting up has the potential room for 1-2 True siamese algae eaters ( they can get 4-6" ) then add those as juveniles 1/2-3/4" and your BBA will disappear within a week. I know its a temporary fix but the plants will be cleared off. Then you will need to regulate the lights...

    Used substrate sprouting everywhere, ID?

    Used substrate sprouting everywhere, ID?

What a durable plant. Haven't gotten any crypts yet. Pool Sand/Sand vs Gravel?

pool filter sand. simple to clean , quick rinse in a bucket, heavy so it stays down during substrate vacs, everything stays on top of it so just swirl your WC vacuum around and it will pull everything up. The only con is there are no nutrients for root feeding plants like Swords so you will need...

Also be sure to test your water source. a 50% WC will cut the Ammonia in half like you noticed but the Nitrates staying the same suggests to me you could have some in your water source.

Recommendations for a good heater for a 46g?

I usually use Aqueon Pros but i've found a new favorite with the Finnex HPG filters. You can adjust the temp from the wire instead of the heater unit and i've found they are very accurate within a degree or 2. I have a 300w in my 55. That is the one i would go with if i had your 46 bow. Also...

    Green Peppers?

Wondering the same thing so i'm following. Nice question! I would assume they need to be boiled for a minute or 2 to soften them up and allow them to sink. Doesn't show how their made but i know your a fellow Albino baby BN keeper. :).... Oppps video description says its blanched

That sounds like a good way to repair it. I've also seen videos where people use vinyl siding channels to make it so their glass tops slide instead of flip. Not sure it will work for a bow front but it's worth looking into.
