Possible ich attack on royal gramma

To be safe I would move the fish to the three gallon it would be a good idea to get a cleaner shrimp or wrasse to help clean up the fish I personally do not like using chemicals it really stresses the fish and can cause more harm than good.

    Question Using Kalk

I would suggest only once per week at a low dose or other wise it will cause PH to raise to high and may be devestating. As for topping off is to keep the salinity at a constant level with an R/O water only is my suggestion. I dose my tank with kalkwasser at a drip method into the sump being...

    Clumpy sand

Most likely you don't have enough flow in the tank try adding another pump and cross them in the top corners of the tank and facing inward to create a disturbance and a ripple effect in the water. Create as much water towrd the bottom sand bed and things will go away.

    filtration

Do 15 pounds and add when you can just be sure that the rock you add in the future is fully cycled is the key , however when adding fully cycled rock it's double or tripled in price. It is way better to cycle the tank with the full amount better than adding later and you will save money rather...

Have you considered a Phos Ban Reactor verses all the other that you listed? In my opinion all you need is a sump, skimmer, phos reactor and pumps for circulation there really is no need for all the equipment listed as long as you use only R/O or D/I filtered water the tank will do just fine.....

Question What would be a good clean up crew for my tank?

Agreed! Thanks Ryan!! Mollies are food to them as long as they have a chance to grab them, Snow flakes are very blind beings and will snap at anything that gets within a strike zone. Mollies on the other hand do live a lot longer in a freshwater enviroment.

Fragging stars is very easy just cut pieces off with a sharp exacto knife around two inch or larger. It will take about a year or so before it will be ready to frag. If you have some room in the back I would choose slow growing corals for that area.

    haven't done saltwater before-many questions

Keep in mind that you are buying frags now and these frags can grow to where you may need to cultivate in about a years time so don't go overboard upon your decision also keep in mind on the fact that you may need to upgrade to a larger tank. I do have to warn you that if a coral does catch on...

Sounds good just be careful of your choices not all corals will adapt well in a small tank or as considered a nano tank. Have fun and don't get carried away remember take it slow!!!!!!
