Want To Sell Red Root Floaters/salvinia Minima

These are roughly portion sizes and some better pictures of the salvinia minima in the tank. I'd try to get a could longer strands with each bunch and some smaller ones to grow out. The red roots I will try to do the same as well as a few small flower buds if possible.

Want To Sell Red Root Floaters/salvinia Minima

The nights here are getting in the low 60s and almost 80s during the day, I think the salvinia minima in the pond is dying off. I'd be willing to give that away before it's dead and gone. Free just pay shipping! Buy some water lettuce from the pond and I'll throw some in with those too.

20 Gallon Long Wild Betta Tank

Added the co2 last night and primed everything but forgot to turn it on this morning haha probably going to start at 1.5-2 bbps as the tank isn't very heavily planted yet. The 10g that had the co2 only got 1bbps but had more plants so I'm going to work from there. The lady at my LFS was really...

Want To Sell Red Root Floaters/salvinia Minima

Here is a better picture of what's in the pond. The darker green salvinia minima is the original plant from the tank, everything in a lighter green grew in the pond as well as pretty much all of the water lettuce.

Want To Sell Red Root Floaters/salvinia Minima

**Please read carefully!** I am testing the waters (unintended pun) on selling some plants I have an abundance of. Almost one year ago I purchased some Red Root Floaters and more recently some Salvinia Minima and they have taken over. The salvinia is spread out between my 20 gallon long and my...

Want To Buy Red Root Floater

I took some pics last night but figured I'd test the waters and make a FS post. I'll link it for you guys when it's done.

20 Gallon Long Wild Betta Tank

He is playing some serious hide and seek with me in his giant new home. For the last 2 days and just now even turning on the lights in pure dark his fins are always unclamped which is so nice to finally see. I think he's still a bit unsure of the big open space with the bright light in the...

Can Salvinia Minima Block A Betta From Getting Air?

That also works pretty well to keep an open space in the surface. I use a syringe (no needle ofcourse) to feed my fish foods I presoak and they have become quite familiar with it and what it means/does. My bettas are usually nipping at it before the food comes out. So over time they might...

20 Gallon Long Wild Betta Tank

So about 3 weeks ago I finally built a stand for the 20 gallon long I picked up during petcos dollar per gallon sale and filled it up. I swapped over some driftwood from the 9g and put substrate in it Friday. Sunday I finally added plants and the fish. Substrate is eco-complete and a sponge...

Help New Lights Causing Algae Bloom

Could maybe try using Excel to help clear it up but I don't know if it would be effective with green water itself. Perhaps look into using hydrogen peroxide? It oxidizes algae then turns into pure water after the reaction. Make sure it would be a suitable treatment for the situation though. It...

How Do You Clean Eco Complete?

In theory if you have enough plants to break down the waste that settles in to the substrate you'd never need to clean it. Fish poop fertilizing the substrate like manure in a farm field. However, I've never trusted this because the waste and debris will never completely disappear. At least not...

    Betta Fight

I don't think you need those leaves specifically but they...

Can Salvinia Minima Block A Betta From Getting Air?

Both of my betta tanks have a healthy layer of floating plants I should probably thin out very soon but I've never seen them have an issue at the surface for air or food. The worst problem I've encountered is one time I came home and couldn't find my male.. He was actually sitting on top of a...

Want To Buy Red Root Floater

If I can figure out how to ship them (never done it before) I have more then enough in my 5g. So much so that they are literally growing upwards instead of outwards. I think I'm actually forming a second layer somehow.. If you don't mind me learning I'd be glad to give you a steal. I will say...

    9g Fluval Flex Rcs Tank

Right but how would be the vest way to cover the grates? I'm thinking it would be better to hold the sponge in place over the grate that's part of the wall somehow. I'd rather avoid glue though since it would be a more permanent solution. I'll take pics here in a sec to better show what I mean.

    9g Fluval Flex Rcs Tank

Would anyone have any suggestions on how I could make a Fluval Flex shrimp-proof? The back compartments that hold the filter media and pump use grates for the intake that would surely suck up some babies if not the adults themselves. I'd be apprehensive about using net to cover the clip on...

    Dwarf Lettuce Doing Well

I took them to my LFS and asked if they'd be interested but it was a cold no.. They wouldn't even trade me for 3 gallons of RO water when I had a container full enough to cover more then 10 gallons. I was hoping it'd be that easy but I guess I'll have to learn how to package them up and mail em.

    Dwarf Lettuce Doing Well

For sure! I'm loving them. When I took out all I had left from the 9g it filled almost the entire surface of my 20g and the majority of my pond with all the salvinia minima too. Might have to start selling my own soon! Haha
