4 days is perfectly fine. Bettas can go much longer without food with no problems. When Thailand ship betas to America they may go whole week or two without eating.
I would not over feed your fish before the trip either. Just feed him normally.
Ah sorry I hope I didn't offend anyone here. I just have a personal preference against stands that uses two colors. Just a personal pet peeve! Other than that the set does look gorgeous. How long have you had it and what do you keep in it?
Awww your wife sounds awesome! I have deal with...
. I really had the stand and would like to repaint it all black. But you can't really beat a deal like this.
My question is, does anyone have this aquarium? This deal seems to be insanely cheap. Does it have a lot of problems?
Also, how the heck does one get this back to their house!
I have a 60 gallon tank and have naturally very hard water. Ideally I'm looking for a set up where:
Mix of beautiful yellow and blue fish (bonus if I can sneak a red in there too).
Ideally only 4-6 fish only.
Ideally can co-exist with jungle vals (but not a deal breaker if they can't).
OMG good tips. I totally forgot it will be cold tonight. Thanks!
Thank you SOOOOOO much. I really appreciate this. You're a prince among men (or queen among women).
The power company said anywhere between 1-5 hours, so not exactly sure. But I took your advice and started heating the room...
There's a planned power outage tonight (scheduled sometime between 1 to 5 am). I have a used on a 12 gallon long overstocked aquarium. This filter has shutoff valves for both the intake and output hoses.
I was thinking instead of waiting for the power to go out while I'm sleeping, I can...
That's great to hear. I can definitely do that! Thanks!
Wow. First of all congratulations on the babies. From what I've heard about cories is that they are not that easy to breed. You must be doing a great job! Thanks for the advice!
I can do two types of water changes:
1 gallon every other...
I have a 12 gallon long tank with small gravel substrate. I have 5 cories in the tank. and change 70% water per week. I can either:
Grow carpeting plants but NOT vacuum substrate; or
Don't grow carpeting plants and DO vacuum substrate.
I prefer to do the carpeting. But I'm worried that not...
I have two julii cories in my tank would like to add 3-4 more to get to the recommended school of 6.
Would it be ok if I added 4 orange laser cories? Are they similar enough in behavior and size to be accepted by the two current juli cories?
I've read somewhere that cories will happily hangout...
I have a 60 gallon blackwater tank with about 90 cardinal tetras. I would like to decorate the floor with 50 mid sized Indian almond leaves (the kind you get for your betta tanks).
Someone at the LFS told me that this setup will greatly reduce chance of bacterial infections. Plus on a personal...
Thank you everyone!
Great idea Bizarro. Biohome does seem like the best choice. A few f/u questions.
I'm thinking of getting the Biohome BioGravel since it is smaller and more should be able to fit into my HOB filter. Also, how many pounds/kg do I need to fill up an entire AC110 or Penguin...
I have a overstocked 60 gallon tank. It is already running an Aquaclear 110 with all the trimmings (stock biomedia, sponge, Purigen, etc).
I'm setting up a second HOB filter (either Aquaclear 110 or Penguin 350). I want to dedicate ALL the space in this second filter to a single thing. The...
If you had the choice to get two Penguin 350 ($27.99 each) vs getting ONE AC110 ($79.99), and your goal is to get the best filtration possible for an overstocked 60 gallon tank, what would you get?
I know ACs are awesome. I have them on some tanks. But wouldn't TWO Penguin 350 be better? (And...
I've seen arguments on both sides. Some say farm-raised cardinal tetras are hardier because they acclimate easier to your tank since they were raised in tanks. They are also better at adapting to water that is a bit harder.
Other's say wild is better because there's more genetic diversity and...
I have a 20 gallon long tank currently with 8 RMT. They are schooling well, swimming back and forth all day.
I would like to add another school of different fish that will:
Also school well, and
NOT interrupt the schooling of the RMT
NOT mix in with the RMT school (i.e. I don't want one giant...
