    Turtle Sleep

When I had one he would sleep underwater, head towards the sruface, with one foot resting on the bottom of the tank.

    Important Everyone Makes Mistakes

Didn't cover the outtake hose when changing the water in my big 70g tank, and one of my tiny yoyo loaches decided it was a good hiding spot. I never found him. =[

Have To Give Up One Of My Bristlenose. =[

Yep, I got Melafix today, and the black one is doing alright. Hopefully I won't have to do the same to my yoyo loaches down the line... They already hit 4 inches in length. They get snails at least.

Have To Give Up One Of My Bristlenose. =[

It is with great sadness that I have to rehome my 4 year old albino Bristlenose Catfish. Ever since I've been rescaping my tank and adding more hiding places, they've both been in breeding condition for months. I thought nothing of the black one constantly digging out the gravel around the...

How Do I Fix The 'green Water' Problem?

I don't test for phosphates, but I've used Purigen before. The filter that had it broke though. I'll try stuffing some Purigen into my current filter, though. Thanks. =D

How Do I Fix The 'green Water' Problem?

I've been having algae issues in both my tanks again, despite the lower natural light from Winter. I've been adding new decorations to both tanks, including plants, but I can't seem to shake it. Now the wate ris continuously coloured in both tanks, and there's some very stubborn short algae on...

Residue On Glass And Busted Filter

Did you wash the sand first? Also, try a soft scrubbing brush with warm water.

    Question Betta Eating Snail Food

I actually feed my snail at night before bed when the room is dark and the lights are off, to avoid my betta going for the food. So far, it's working.

Strange Problem With 10g Tank Cycle

I didn't know they had breeding stripes. I looked it up and that's exactly what they were. Thank you. My ammonia isn't spiking but I thought it was always supposed to have some ammonia and nitrates if cycled.

Strange Problem With 10g Tank Cycle

I think I somehow lost the cycle on my 10g tank, but I'm not sure. All that's in there are some plants, a female betta,a few miniature ramshorns and a mystery snail. The filter turns over 200 liters per hour, and the tank is 40 liters, gets cleaned about once a month in tank water. Water...

    I'm Getting Freshwater Hatchetfish!

So I'm getting a new schooling fish for my 70g tank... Freshwater Hatchetfish! I plan on making a school of 12, and my tank already has: 3 Yoyo loaches, 2 Bristlenose Catfish, 6 Corydoris, and 3 Endler Guppies. I've been doing my research and am going to make a nice new mesh lid for my tank, and...

    10g Betta Tank

Edit: I double checked and I am an idiot. Disregard this message.

    10g Betta Tank

Don't add any fish with the bettas. Unless you have an unusually calm one there will be problems, especially with ones like guppies as their bright colours will make the betta see them as a threat. A mystery snail is too big for most bettas to kill, but they may eat the antenna.

    Mystery Snails With Yoyo Loaches

Bigger snails are easier targets, sadly. It's an extremely high risk. They usually leave the smaller snails because they aren't able to get into the shells or they're too small to really notice for them.

    Help Sick Betta?

I think there's nothing you can do for a betta that age. I'm sorry. =[

    Help Sick Betta?

He may be getting old. 4 years is pretty good for a store bought betta.

    Question Mystery Snail - Nocturnal?

My mystery is a bit of both. It prefers night to day as the betta sometimes nips it, and at night it doesn't get its food stolen either.

    Sick Cory Cat

Yeah, sorry, edited it after, I started on this while there was a lot of noise and couldn't focus properly. I'm thinking by the parameters and such that it could be stressed or just wanting a bit more food. They usually take a lower temp than bettas and bristlenose, and in higher temps need more...

    Sick Cory Cat

It looks a little skinny in those pics, but it's pretty hard to tell. What temp is it, does it have an air stone and how many of what kinds of corys do you have? I find mine eat as much as my bristlenose catfish and yoyo loaches, but until they got a school never moved much.

    Sick Cory Cat

Can we get pics? It also sounds like the Corys need more food.
