    Baby Mollies

Sorry, 4 adults, now 3 since I moved over the poor girl. Moderately planted as most of the plants are still growing in at this point and the duck weed isn't very thick. I think it's about 20 babies, but hard to count, lol. They get fed once a day.

    Baby Mollies

Yep, definitely need to separate them. As I said, false assumption on my part. Just trying to figure out how many fry I'm going to need to worry about as well Poor thing, looks like I ended up with one female to three males. She'll be moved today.

    Baby Mollies

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, though for some silly reason I assume the pet store kept male and female mollies separate like they do with guppies... I have a collection of baby mollies now. I'm both excited and a bit concerned. How many would reasonably be expected to survive? Tank has...

Free Free, Snail, North Texas Pick Up

No problem. We run lights later in the day since I haven't bothered to reset timers after all the power outages a few weeks ago yet, but they're out and exploring. I'll post pics later after lights are on

    Some Filter Media Confusion

Nope, aerobic was what I meant. Basically it creates microscopic areas where they can actually get air so it allows the nitrates to be removed as well. Supports both aerobic and anaerobic.

Where in TX? I'm in the Dallas area and would be interested if you're close and they're still available.

    Some Filter Media Confusion

Going to answer only the part I know. Matrix is in addition to the other media. Basically provides somewhere for aerobic bacteria to grow in the filter, reducing the nitrates. There are other options for this available, but I've had the most success with this one.

    Question Shrimp Size Before Move?

If you can drip acclimate, always a safer option. I've found the RCS I have to be really hardy.

    Question Shrimp Size Before Move?

I've moved much smaller than that without an issue. Just make sure you acclimate them

Will Pothos And Duckweed Kill/starve My Anubias?

Personal experience, the only issue I have seen is when the duckweed starts blocking too much of the light.

Hello Everybody. I Am New Here.

Honestly, if it's 20 years old, you may just want to buy a new one. You can get an API one akin to the other test kits specific for GH and KH.

    Moving With A Fish Tank

Basically all of it. The less weight when moving the tank, the better for the stability of the tank.

    Missing Julii!!

I've lost a betta that I still have no idea where it went. The tank has been pulled down completely and we've moved since then, so I really have no idea where that fish ended up. Wasn't anywhere in the tank, on the floor, behind furniture. There wasn't even anything else in the tank that...

    Moving With A Fish Tank

How far is the move? If it's close, basically put your fish into something with tank water, put your media in something with tank water, and make sure you set it back up first thing. When I moved mine, broke everything down and moved them one tank at a time. If taking anything else at the...

    Question Is My Pleco Dumb?

Pretty sure. He scares really easily (as in someone walking on the other side of the room easily) and wasn't moving at all, even when being touched. I initially thought I was going to be pulling out a dead pleco, but once I broke away some of the wood, he got out of there as fast as possible.

    Question Is My Pleco Dumb?

I don't expect much, but I would expect a survival instinct.
