I have just bought two Jack Dempseys and after talking to the fish seller, he mentioned that I could get away with putting a blanket over the tank over night. I figured I would just buy a heater and it has kept it a steady 27 C day and night.
I am looking for heaters and there is one available that is 300w SCUBA brand (that is all the info they have), will this be enough to heat the 120g aquarium. the current temp is 23-25 degrees C and i want it to get to about 27 degrees. thanks
the lights are for fish. and a bare bottom tank. I have seen LED strips that can connect together like a train. I am just not sure if the LED will be strong enough to penetrate light far enough down. I will have two JDs. Thanks.
Hello. just wanting advice on lighting, I currently have a fluorescent light.
my tank is 2' high and 5' long. I was thinking of putting LED lighting over the tank (the ones that can change colour and brightness). The tabk is in full shade outside on my alfresco area.
Let me k ow if you need...
what I got from people commenting through the different sub forums, that I just treat the aquarium as I would as an inside tank. providing I limit direct sunlight and take the cooler seasons into concideration, it should be fine.
I know you wanted some info so I thought I would relay back to...
I have been indecisive regarding what to stock my 120G tank with. the tank is 5 foot long and 2 foot deep. I would like a single large fish, but not sure what yet, I was thinking a Flowerhorn. I have just started the first cycle so I am in no rush. Also the tank is an outdoor aquarium...
it is coming into winter so night time gets around 25 C (77 F) and 27 C during the day. And summertime is a steady 28-30 C (86 F).
I am really liking Peacock Cichilds, However if I find a Flowerhorn, I will be hard pressed not to grab him
