    4-5" baby red belly piranha

They're cute like bulldogs, I suppose. Neat fish, though! Too bad we can't keep those here in the south.

Food network was just in my town to film an episode of Dives, Dinners and Drive-Ins or whatever its called. They went to the place my sister works(The Gumbo Shack) and to another place called Panini Pete's. Pretty cool, but I don't get too worked up about that stuff. Anyway, keep an eye out for it

    NeverEndingNinja's 55 Gallon[NEW!]

I spent an hour and a half chopping everything up 2 nights ago. I removed every stem plant and cut the bottom off, "topped" all the ludwigia, and replanted it. In a month, hopefully I'll be right back where I was at the beginning of this post.

    NeverEndingNinja's 55 Gallon[NEW!]

Go with metal halides for your column tank. Its the only way to go when you have limited surface area on a deeper tank.

    NeverEndingNinja's 55 Gallon[NEW!]

Yes, your dad is wrong. When we refer to light in the planted field, we're referring to fluorescent lights. If you want to do plants in your 47gal, I would suggest at least 130w, similar to what I have. Keep in mind, that all lights are different. It takes less watts of T5 lighting to equal the...

    Gozer's 45 Gallon Planted Tank

That would be the reason for your stressed out plants and algae outbreak, unfortunately. You should look into dosing dry ferts. Look into it. You won't regret it

    NeverEndingNinja's 55 Gallon[NEW!]

Its not ADA, its a ripoff, but it is glass, looks nice and does the job well. I bought it from AquaticMagic on eBay. It cost me $15-$20, but shipping took almost a month. However, there is a fellow who bought a bunch of them and imported them, so we wouldn't have to wait like that...

    NeverEndingNinja's 55 Gallon[NEW!]

Its 130w of compact flourescent lights, so I'm sitting right at 2.36WPG. I'm planning on upgrading to around 3wpg pretty soon, though. I'm supplementing CO2 through a pressurized CO2 tank, blowing through a glass diffuser under a power head, which further atomizes the bubbles and blows them...

    NeverEndingNinja's 55 Gallon[NEW!]

Well, not a new aquarium, but might as well be. Since the last time I posted anything about it, I've put in new bulbs(SunPaq 6700/10000k), added pressurized CO2 and started doing EI dosing. I had a little green spot algae outbreak, but I think that was due to the brief nutrient deficiency...

    Customizing a Saab

Don't bother upgrading exhaust on a stock engine. Its kind of silly. You may want to look into a few power upgrades first. Personally, I wouldn't change the rims either...at least nothing crazy. The only rims I would put on it would be s in 17" or 18". They are almost identical to what comes...

    Other cooking enthusiasts?

Well, I've always enjoyed cooking, but these days I'm kind of forced into it. I recently changed jobs, and started working for a market called Jackson's Fresh Market. We're not open yet, but we've been working at the bosses house until then, to find the recipes that we will put on the menu...

    Customizing a Saab

To elaborate...my car came in with the engine out of it, and instead of rebuilding, I bought an 88k mile junk yard engine. Stupidly, I didn't rebuild that one either, and the timing chains need to be serviced ~90,000 miles...so, it was only a matter of time, along with my dogging it out, that...

    Ouch! My finger hurts!

You should look into a cutting glove. They work pretty well. We use them at work, and everyone has nice knives. I'm currently saving up to buy , and I wouldn't dare use it without a cutting glove on...I like my fingers too much Sorry that happened! Glad you didn't lose any appendages, though.

    Mardi Gras Celebrators

We usually stay right here in Fairhope, AL and enjoy it. I didn't go for years, but now that I have a kid, I have to take him out. I don't really enjoy the crowd mardi gras draws out, and its too bad because I'd love to go over to Mobile, where it all started(thanks to my relatives ), and see a...

    Time out for aggression?

Skip plecos, cories, CAEs, SAEs for algae eating. Go with otos. If you get BBA, which is the only reason most people get SAEs, you have bigger problems. You need to address your nutrient levels in that case, and you can wipe BBA out with a H2O2 treatment, or Excel. I have a bristlenose pleco in...
