If we’re talking about just their body and not including fin length, they’re probably around the size of a half dollar, maybe a little bigger. They very well could still be young, but like I said, all 3 do look like they have a head bump.
Thank you both!
Ryan, so do you have both angels and pearls? I’ve had a few people voice concern over that combination, and I’m wondering if you have any personal experience you’re willing to share on the matter!
So far everyone has behaved fairly well together. The angels were my most recent addition and I got them I want to say about 2 months ago and they’ve never really bothered the gouramis or tetras. The gouramis kind of keep to themselves a lot and hide in the back corner of my tank underneath some...
Nope, none! I used to use Flourish when I had live plants and then realized it might have been killing my snails so I stopped. I use Prime and Stability occasionally but other than that I don’t add anything to the water!
Yes, I actually have quite a bit in there but they’re all over the place because I had just fed them before taking the picture.
I have cardinal tetras, pearl gouramis, angels, German blue rams, a couple cories, and an assortment of snails!
I have a 75 gallon tank that has some fish but I feel like it’s just missing something. Looking for suggestions!
3 pearl gourami
Approx 18 cardinal tetras (hard to count the buggers because they move around so much)
2 German Blue Rams
3 corydoras (2 sterbai...
Just wanted to share a picture of how my 75 is looking, figured this would be the place to do it!
It’s been up and running since July of last year. Started out with live plants, they ended up either being devoured by my snails or died out. Added the plastic plants in January or February...
I’m wondering...I’ve had my angelfish for a couple of months now. Started out with 4, everything was fine, then my husband and I went out of town for two days, came back and the smallest angel was MIA. I’m assuming it died somehow and my MTS and other snails ate it.
BUT, that’s not...
Thanks! She is still relatively small, but I’m glad I was able to pick a female out of the crowd!
He was bullying her for a couple of days, but today they seem like they’re doing okay and she looks much less stressed, like she did in that picture. Fingers crossed they continue to play nice!!
Sorry to bump an old thread, but since it’s not locked yet and it’s my own/this is still related...
Can someone confirm that my GBR’s new friend is in fact a female? The lay one I bought turned out to be male and my original GBR did *not* play nicely at all.
Original GBR (male) on left, new...
This is “Big Poppa” and he is absolutely stunning!
I started out with 3 pearl gourami, juveniles. One ended up very skinny and sickly looking and then died, leaving the other two (both females after a few months) alone. So, I went out and bought them a male counterpart, and he’s so great! One...
Beautiful pair! I see the difference now between the male and female. My guy is single for now. I don’t know if I’ll try to introduced a female or not. I’m worried if I wait too long he might get too territorial. He seems to be playing well with my pearl gouramis though so that’s good!
I’ve been a little inactive on the forums since getting my 75 gallon up and running. I just bought a new German Blue Ram and was wondering if someone may be able to help sex him/her?
I’m leaning more towards “her” because it looks rounder and I think it has shiny scales on its black spot...
I have 6 mysteries, all different colors, and I have a whole bunch of others too.
My most recent additions were a black chopstick snail, a rabbit snail, and a 2nd Japanese trap door snail.
I actually just found out today that one of my mysteries laid a clutch!
Your snails are...
