Question Why rinse filter cartridge in aquarium water?

If you are rinsing it in tank water I don't think you can do it too much. Standard is when it's dirty and starting to clog

How Do I Actually -- How I Do - -My water changes

A VERY lot more than I do. Why are you adding bacteria at every water change? I have 5 gallon buckets for waste water and 2 gallon buckets for refill. I have 4 dishpans I use when cleaning my canister. I clean deco when needed. I clean my filter when I start to see junk floating around. Usually...

    Where do I put this?

I meant the roots that are already in the substrate that will get ripped when I move the branch. Not all will come out. It has been there awhile. Well I moved the branch and the roots were pretty big. I'll just have to clean that area really good to see if I can get a bunch out.

    Where do I put this?

I was kind of thinking of moving it but that big Anubia is fairly rooted into the gravel even though its tied to the wood. Won't the roots rot and cause problems later?

    Where do I put this?

Finally found another wood I like. Now where to put it. I also bought a sponge filter since I have air in the tank might as well make it productive. In case I ever need a hospital tank or something.

Question Help! I think I’ve confused myself.

Prime bonds the ammonia to protect the fish for 48 hours. So if there is a small spike its harmless. Dechlor doesn't do that.

Question Help! I think I’ve confused myself.

If you have prime in the water just test it again tomorrow. If it is still a little high change some water only and add some prime to it. It was probably a small spike due to the new fish. I bet its fine tomorrow. If not water change! :p

Resin or thermal bonding quilt batting

Is that loose pillow stuff even considered bonded? I would think bonded would be like quilt batting, a flat sheet?

Resin or thermal bonding quilt batting

Im not sure weather it is safer or not. But I think the heat fil would have the same results. Mine doesn't have any kind of bonding on the package. Myself I would not use the resin if I had a choice. Just for future safety.

Resin or thermal bonding quilt batting

I use the $4.97 poly-fill from Walmart thats rolled up with no issues. You would think heat bonded is better than resin.

@Momgoose56 do you remember the girl over the summer with 8 ammonia? Didn't it end up being her haunted house decor? I can't find the thread. I don't remember if that was it either.
