Edible foods for snail

Most resources don’t elaborate on all the foods snails will eat and what is healthy for them to eat. People generally say to stick to cucumber, zucchini and green beans and such, which isn’t great for a snails health. As much variety as possible is the best thing you can give them. I wanted to formulate a list of foods that are a good to be in a snails diet.

Plantains
Parsnips
Banana
Sweet potatoes
Squash (butternut, pumpkin, delicata, yellow/crookneck, acorn, turban, Hubbard, kabocha, gold nugget, really most squash’s are good)
Carrots
Blueberry
Melons
Water-chestnuts
Zucchini
Kale
Chard
Peas
Cucumber
Apple
Pear
Strawberries
Green beans
Mushrooms
Lettuce (darker lettuces like Romain and such are best).

Untested possibilities:
Blackberry
Salmonberry
Jicama (pretty sure they can eat jicama)
Beats
Turnips
Mango
Avocado (be warned, I’ve heard avocado can be bad in large amounts so feed sparingly)

Things to avoid: acidic foods (like citrus and tomatoes), onions, high starch (like pasta and regular potatoes).

Obviously I’m missing some things here, this is just what I know from my personal experience. I may add to the list when I try more foods for them.
