I have an eheim pro3 2073 as far as I recall (not sure though) which is turned partly down to decrease flow + a spreader but the surface does still move some so maybe that’s the problem.
I haven’t tried Hygrophilia Polysperma before so I’ll see if I can get it somewhere near me :)
Yeah both my...
Thank you :)
It is not quite as bright IRL as it looks in the picture but I’ll try making it a bit darker. I have tried a couple times with floating plants but for some reason, they are the only plants I can’t get to survive :( maybe it’s time to try again.
I will do that tomorrow if she survives that long. I just did one earlier today (only around 30-40%)
she is now swimming in very small circles while tilted to one side (not the same side all the time)
if she gets much worse I think I’ll euthanize her. I don’t want her to suffer through the...
I will try, she is still freaking out, I probably won’t be able to really get of the others, they are hiding from her it seems :(
Nothing whatsoever has been added for 6 months now and I haven’t changed anything :(
the last two pictures are of her. She currently won’t leave the surface so I...

Oh, my mum would hate having to touch any of my fish, luckily she hasn’t had to yet.
This one really likes to squeeze in everywhere. Any kind of opening and she just has to test it, even if she has to lie on her side or twist and turn.. I’ve tried moving things so she can’t get stuck but she...
I Will try to find some stress Guard or something like it. We are unfortunately very limited in what kind of treatments that are available where I live.
I will keep a close eye on them but so far they’ve remained calm. It’s been several weeks since anyone but the pleco was last chasing anyone...
I have a big piece of driftwood which may have some pointy bits somewhere
I tried to check it when I put it in but I could easily have missed something. She does like to squeeze in everywhere so it wouldn’t surprise me if she managed to scratch her head. (I’m honestly surprised where she can...
I have 5 Cosby(three spot) gourami in a 360l aquarium with rummynose tetras, 2 small plecos and some snails and shrimp.
Last night I noticed what appears to be an injury on my largest female gourami. I hope you guys may be able to tell me if it’s ‘just’ an injury or some illness I need to...
2 bristlenose plecos (Arnold and Kevin. Kevin is male I’m pretty sure, Arnold is still not clear)
5 Cosby gouramis (Joseph, Naphtali, Issachar, Levi and Judah)
11 rummynose tetras
15 kuhli loaches (I think, they don’t come out much XD)
2 zebra snails, 3 rabbit snails, 3 other...
It ran for 10 days with a bacterial starter (I believe it was called happy life starter and I still use it after water changes) and when the values had topped and were down at the acceptable levels I introduced one of the plecos and the snails.
4 days later when everything was still fine, I...
I have just introduced a group of rummynose tetras to my aquarium and a couple have died (I have another thread about those).
Today I noticed that one of my tetras has a white patch on its back right in front of the fin on the back.
It doesn’t appear fuzzy as far as I can see and it’s far larger...
Update: I’ve found the almost completely eaten remains of a tetra so it seems likely that the missing 3 have been eaten.
One of the 16 remaining tetras are not sitting (upright) on the bottom and seems to breathe very quickly. It also seems to sort of twitch its fins.
