I'm a 16 year old Finn and English is not my native language so forgive my possible grammar or spelling mistakes. I'm a complete newbie on the fishkeeping hobby but I've wanted to have an aquarium for a very long time.

I got my first tank (59 l or 15,5 gal) as a Christmas present last Christmas (2018 )and I already have it cycled and there's about ten or so red cherry shrimp living in there. I also have two assasin snails there to take care of the pest snail population. The tank's decorated with driftwood, a lava stone and live plants. As substrate I'm using sand. I actually had gravel in there for a while but decided to change it to sand and that was quite an operation but the shrimps seem to like sand more so it was worth it.

I've just got 10 corydoras habrosus for my tank! They're so cute little guys and I love them so much. I'd still want more plants for them and the shrimp. In the future I'd possibly like to have some ember tetras in my tank. I'm also considering a betta.

I've been getting by with reading books and internet articles these months but I thought it would be handy to join a community like this where you can discuss with other hobbyists. I hope to have a good time here!
