    Shark adv internal filter good?

They were easier to put on the mount wet. (will never come out) Good suction is provided and easy to maneuver in the tank and change the direction of flow. If it's a regular 20 you will be able to mount it vertically and provide air bubbles if you want. I got this filter because my 20G long was...

Would this work for my heavily stocked 10G?

Eden :D two hearing aids I'm half deaf...but the external filters I have zero experience with and associated them with big tanks 65G and over. Canada always seems to have more limited selections for some things, my Shark ADV400 came from the US during mid COVID stuff

    What filter is good?

TIDAL all the way baby... self-starting and very quiet. Sicce makes the best submersible pumps in the world.Very easy to maintain and hotrod with your favorite filter and media components. They provide great water flow. I switched from running two Fluvals to one Tidal and one Hygger Sponge...

Would this work for my heavily stocked 10G?

you have an airstone added, I like that. NOt sure I can add one to the Hyggar style double filter so I get a blub blub sound :)....but slip-off and on sponges are much easier for me to manage in the larger aquariums I have.

    Shark adv internal filter good?

I have a Shark ADV400 in a 20 Long(left side of tank). It had to be mounted sideways because I have a very deep substrate. The filter is extremely easy to maintain. In between the two sponges, I have a bag of crushed coral. I also run a sponge filter in conjunction with the Shark. I believe in...

Could my tank not be cycled after a year?

Absolutely agree with you :) All of our aquariums, water, environments are in different parts of the world. We have different fish combo's and plants. I was only sharing my experiences and knowledge. In my one 55G with Rainbows I do a 50% change because that tank is at 98% stocking level.....and...

Could my tank not be cycled after a year?

If you are not overfeeding and remove his waste with the water change that's all good, they do pass away with old age; and if you had your betta for some time that's all it could be. Don't beat yourself up over it. Be careful with large water changes. I change 25% of the water every 5 days. I...

What's the next fish you're getting?

I just got six (sick Glass Cats) being treated in a hospital tank. :( I will be setting up a 15-gallon Seapora tank below a 20-long with 2-3 Pea Puffer and a few Otto. I have an abundance of snails and rather than just feed the Rainbows with them (squished first)...they love them. I thought Pea...

40 Gallon Tank Clown Pleco Underside Skin Issue

Have you tried Hydrogen Peroxide for your algae bloom? I used 5ml of 3% H2O2 in a 55 gallon. After 24 hours the H2O2 turns to water. Remove any sensitive fish if you are worried. Your pleco looks fine. Sunlight on the tank can cause huge problems. Not enough lighting can also be an issue. I run...

    Glass catfish Ich & Columnaris?

I just got six Glass Cats, all of them are sick. Rather than return them I am treating them with; Maracyn/Maracyn 2/Fritz FixICK. The store I purchased them from is gifting me a box of Maracyn and extending the warranty a couple of weeks. The fish have multiple symptoms, white streaks are the...

My Boeseman's Rainbowfish all in a row. They are in a 55G Fluval with Plecos, Kuhlis, and Corys. A Tidal-75 HOB filter provides a nice consistent current for them. It's my view while eating dinner, the tank is in my dining room. I had four Plecos in here removing two calmed the boys down. Having...
