I could'nt find anything online which helps clear a question I have on the Tropica Specialized nutrition.
I recently bought a 125 ML bottle (about 30 days ago) for my nano tank and have noticed it has gone quite dark. From a light bright green color it has turned to a very dark green...
So my daughter managed to barter her 4 danios which are now in the 80 gallon, against a promise of getting her otocinculus :)
Just bought 6 of them today and now they're in the quarantine tank which does have some algae in it. I'll suppliment them with some blanched cucumber later in the day...
Would you recommend I start adding a few fish here and there to the tank now?
I've been holding off for the fear of the parasites (if any) contaminating the new fish too if in case they are in the tank.
Can I take that risk and just go for it?
The 80gallons been completely empty for so long now :(
Just a quick update on the whole situation.
Tomorrow's going to be the 14th day of trying to treat them with everything out there.
Still housed in the 40 litre hospital tank.
They dont respond to me coming up to their holding tank but i have seen them nibble at food that i...
You're pretty much on the spot for everything.
Hopefully that's just a false alarm.
Just keep an eye on those spots, what I generally do is take pictures every other day and just compare to see if it's progressing or not.
Hope he stays strong and healthy.
Cycling your tank with plants in them is kind of a risk. Although ammonia is essential to healthy plant growth, too much of a good thing can result in death. Plants may exhibit ammonia toxicity in the form of burnt leaves, blackened roots or even death.
I've found stem plants to be more...

I've had my share of water getting all over the floors and would'nt go about not having a check valve ever. Its of a partuclar risk especially if you have your electrical outlets...
Just a few quick questions.
How long have you had the betta?
Whats the temperature that you maintain your tank at?
Your nitrate levels suggest you do regular water changes, correct? if yes do you use any de-chlorinators whilst doing it?
How long ago or recent have you started noticing this...
Hi Everyone, so i've had him (my daughter calls him Blue) for almost 8 months now and have always thought it was a boy.
I've never experienced him making any bubble nests and one of the reasons also when i showed a video of him to the guy in my LFS called him out as being a girl actually.
Hi. My tanks been stable at around 28C. The pH is 8 since the very start.
I will be starting a treat of penicillin as advised by my LFS.
He's a old fellow with a lot of experience, so giving it a try. What more could go wrong at this stage.
Nah I cycled the tank fishless, I did the dark start method for two weeks and then started dosing ammonia and started adding those plants.
Only once I reached 0,0,~5 did I start adding the fish.
In an 80 gallon it had 3 zebra danios, 1 sword.
Two months later I added these angels.
So the tank's...
