Animal lover, but apartment liver. Since I don't have the space or time for furrier animals, I've delved into the world of aquatics.
This is my 2nd time having an aquarium. I got my first aquarium when I was 5, and joyfully selected a small school of Glow Light Tetras and one Plecostomus. The Tetras didn't last very long under my inexperienced care, but "Hoover" lived for over 5 years!
I wanted to get another Pleco when I built my fish tank as an adult, but sadly discovered that they need a much larger tank than I was getting. I'd like to get a much larger tank, someday when I have a house, so that I can have one.
For now, my little 10 gallon tank houses live plants and Platys. I plan to add some mystery snails soon, as we had them to start until our Dwarf Gourami ate them. The Dwarf Gourami has since been rehomed, as he was terrorizing the Platys as well.
Hopefully you enjoy any photos I upload of my tank! I'm excited to be a part of such a fun & lively fish community here at Fishlore!
