    Katie13’s 3g Shrimp Tank Build

I had shrimp forever ago and got back into them with this tank. I’ve got 2 shrimp tanks now with a 3rd tank sitting.

    Katie13’s 3g Shrimp Tank Build

Thank you! I’m proud of how far it’s come. I’m still working on getting more Blue Velvets!

    Katie13’s 3g Shrimp Tank Build

It’s been a bit since I’ve updated this thread. My one and only shrimp boy is doing great! I just got these pictures a minute ago and love them!

    Shrimp and Crab Photos Only

Mr. Blue as I call him. My preferred LFS hasn’t got any in since I got him and my other LFS I go to has only had males. He’s a Blue Velvet

What are you doing to your tank today?

I added the first of my Orange Sunkist Shrimp to my 5.5g today! 2 are obviously a fairly high grade, the 3 from my main LFS I’m unsure of. They’d just came in on today’s shipment and been released in the store tank when I got them, so I’ll know grade in a few days. I’ll get pictures then as well...

    Purple Moscow Guppies?

It’s been 3-4 years since I’ve had livebearers of any kind, but I want Purple Moscow's so bad! I’ve been looking for months. I mainly have shrimp tanks anymore.

    Purple Moscow Guppies?

Alright y’all, I’ve officiated caved. I’ve been wanting some Purple Moscow Guppies for a while, so when the weather gets back up to the 50-60s at night in a few months, I’m gonna do it! I’ve got a 10g is like to use for a trio, so does anyone know where to find some Purple Moscow’s?

    7 gallon stocking

You could do maybe 3 Guppies, 6 Endlers, a pair of Scarlet Badis, a pair of Licorice Gourami, a pair of Sparkling Gouramis, a pair of Croaking Gouramis, and there’s more that are schooling species.

    7 gallon stocking

Being that this tank is a cube, some of those would depend on footprint. Otocinclus, Kuhli, and Pygmy Corys all need a larger tank. I want to say it’s a 24” by 12” footprint for them. Also, female bettas can be just as aggressive as males, so I’d probably avoid other fish, at least top to mid...

    Removing Rim on 10g?

The picture of it once rimless was taking right after I set it back up. The black background which had been cut for the rimmed tank no longer fits, so as soon as I get that taken care of, I’ll get a new pic. It’s so much clearer than it was as first.

    Removing Rim on 10g?

So I got the top rim removed from the 10g last night. It took at least twice as long as the 5.5g tanks did, but it eventually worked out. It’s currently sitting in my floor until I can get the back painted (been raining here). With that said, my 5.5g officially finished cycling yesterday, so...

20 Gallon Tank Axlotl in a 20gal tall?

I'm waiting to get myself another one until I move next Summer. It's been a year since I lost my last one. I had 5 total. I'll either be getting another Lucy, a Golden Albino, or a Melanoid. I've had 2 Lavenders, a Lucy, a Copper, and I can't remember what the other one was. If you are against...

20 Gallon Tank Axlotl in a 20gal tall?

Bare Bottom is the best for Axolotls. Even the smallest grains of sand can lead to an impaction if they injest too much of it. I used play sand in a lotl tank for maybe a month before I gave up on it. It's incredibly messy. They were constantly kicking it up with the legs/tails.

    Removing Rim on 10g?

If it wasn’t for me being home pretty much all day everyday right now, I probably wouldn’t even attempt it. I’ve heard you can go up to 20g with shorter tanks being best, so I’m feeling confident. I guess this is “Katie13’s 10g Experiment”

    Removing Rim on 10g?

Thank you both for your opinions! I realized I still have an extra 10g, so I'm going to give it a try! Corona has me home right now anyway, so I'll be able to keep a close eye on it and always have my other 10g if needed.
