    Vegetarian honey gourami?

I believe that all are males. Which one--soilent green?

    Chasing and flashing

I have a trio of honey gouramis in my 20-long; I think all are males. They all have preferred areas in the tank and they sometimes chase intruders away with gusto. The most dominant male does this the most often, but I have seen all three do this; they typically ignore each other when they are...

    Vegetarian honey gourami?

I have a trio of honey gouramis. Two are enthusiastic eaters: they go for flakes, pellets, and frozen bloodworms happily. The third seems relatively uninterested in those options; mostly I just see him nibbling on algae. (I suspect he is also munching on the ludwigia plants near where he likes...

    Harlequin rasboras hiding?

I have nine purple harlequin rasboras in a heavily planted 20-long. I was concerned to notice that one rasbora, for the last couple of days, was hiding in the corner, behind my filter. Today I saw that it is not one but two rasboras hiding back there, a male and a female. They seem otherwise...

    Neon tetra- spawning or fighting?

I'm just finding this thread now. How did this resolve? My group of neons suddenly started "fighting" this morning. I don't know what has gotten into them. They did seem to calm down over the course of the day, though. I wasn't able to access your video, but I'd be curious in seeing if it's the...

Thinking of adding honey gourami to a 20-long

So far I really like these fish.

Thinking of adding honey gourami to a 20-long

Possibly; I'll wait and see. What is it that makes you think that? Hopefully there won't be any serious aggression issues. So far the three pretty much ignore each other. (There were only four or five gouramis in the tank at the store and they weren't behaving aggressively toward each other...

Thinking of adding honey gourami to a 20-long

The honey gouramis have arrived. I got a trio: I was not able to determine the sexes, but so far they are showing absolutely no aggression to one another. Most of the time they just want to hang out in my floating plants. So I'm hopeful that this will work!

White spot on neon tetra just below adipose fin

It hasn't gotten worse; if anything, the spot looks a little smaller/duller than before, but I'm not certain of this. I'll keep watching.

White spot on neon tetra just below adipose fin

Right. I was thinking PimaFix if it turned out not to be ich. I had trouble getting a better photo but I took a video. The fish appears to be behaving normally in this video, but it was in fact the fish's behavior that first alerted me to the problem: it was spending a lot of time in one...

White spot on neon tetra just below adipose fin

Thanks. I have IchX. Do you mean I need to use this even if it proves to be something other than ich?

White spot on neon tetra just below adipose fin

Interesting. I also have PimaFix, although I've heard very mixed things about how effective it is. It's hard to tell if this spot is fuzzy; neon tetras aren't big on holding still...

White spot on neon tetra just below adipose fin

Thanks; I treated the tank successfully for ich several weeks ago, and this doesn't look the same. I suspect it might be fungus, but I'm not really sure. You think I should just wait and see how it develops?
