Easier way to do water changes - use a water or juice dispenser

Do everything you can to keep the fish healthy & happy (no stress life), and their immune system should be strong enough to fight off fin rot! Though the occasional tear on their fins is unavoidable since they're so delicate -- as long as the water is clean the fin should be able to heal on its...

Easier way to do water changes - use a water or juice dispenser

You still need to vacuum the bottom but I find it easier because with the lower water level the waste is easier to see. Alternatively you can just use a net to scoop it out too if you don't wanna vacuum it out (a fine mesh net like the brine shrimp nets will do the trick)

Easier way to do water changes - use a water or juice dispenser

This juice dispenser is what I currently use as a quarantine 'tank', but later I will turn it into a shrimp tank The faucet makes it super easy to drain the water, and if the bottom is dirty I just use an aerator tube to get the little bits of poop out It's not the most aesthetic looking tank...

5 Gallon Tank Unknown disease? Why is my betta is sick? :( -- pics + video included

Update: He started getting a wound on his tail too (about a day after I posted above), so I've ruled out hole in the head disease I was doing daily water changes and moved him to a bigger quarantine 'tank' (it's an 8 liter juice dispenser, to make it easier to drain for water changes). I...

I prefer the red cherry shrimp, I just find the red color more appealing for shrimps especially if they're in a heavily planted tank But it's really up to you! Which color do you prefer, blue or red? Then you can go with that :)

What will fish think of background?

I'd say a black background would be best if you're going for a plain one My fish seemed to like the ones that had aquatic plants in the background as well (some of the more shy species even tried swimming towards it)

Any variety of nano shrimp can live there, it doesn't have to be just red cherries. I dont know the proper names for them but I know there's all sorts of color variety for nano shrimp - yellow/gold, red, white and red, blue, chocolate... etc! Some color varieties are more expensive though, I...

5 Gallon Tank Unknown disease? Why is my betta is sick? :( -- pics + video included

My betta (named Gojo) seems to have a wound on his head, I tried looking it up and the closest I got was Hole In the Head disease, but it does not look it to me? Could it be a parasite? I have a video here if it'll help: https://youtu.be/v7fQkqBsv0w It started as a really small bump, I thought...
