I have read about that. Doesnt it wipe everything out? Jesus please dont be that. He has been like this for nearly 2 months now though and the other fish are still fine.
I was waiting to see if it would just get better as it wasnt too noticable at first.
My issue is I dont have a quarantine...
Something is wrong with my rainbow fish. It's almost like his scales on half his face are rotting away. Pics attached.
Tank is 180L. Readings are 0, 0 and 0.25.
It's been set up for a year. 8 lemon tetra, 10 red phantom. 6 Cory's and 6 ammano shrimp and the 2 dwarf rainbows. Some...
Thanks for the responses guys. I will get a photo tomorrow when I am home.
They are the normal T5 bulbs from what I remember.
My cories basically always hide. They are healthy etc and the tetras and rainbow fish are out about but equally there colours fade as the light stays on.
I was wondering if someone can advise on my plans for the lights for my 180.
I intend to remove one of the 2 bulbs and just leave it out. So there is only one left in the unit.
This is because I want to see if the fish/plants prefer the dimmer light.
Will this be ok?
HI all. Thank you for the replies. I do not add anything into the tank. As for the nitrates, I thought the plants fed off the nitrates? Also the fish are all doing well?
I will do a PWC though just incase but this has been on going for months.
I am hoping someone can shed some light on what is happening to my java fern plants.
Images attached but they seem to be dying very slowly or at least have stopped growing.
The leaves start to get black bits and then gradually disintegrate.
Any info would be great.
If I sit exceptionally still across the room on an evening the brave 2 May come out but even the slightest movement and they are gone. How they even see me move is impressive ha
Limpopo black sand and I feed a mixture of flakes, pellets, the odd wafer and the odd frozen daphnia. Their barbells...
Had then a just over a couple of months now. Can’t say I have seen any aggression towards them, but equally that is because I never see them at all. They are always under the wood and none of the other fish go there.
Tank is due a water change to be fair.
Appreciate this is a well talked about topic but I just wanted to make sure I am not missing something obvious.
I have 6 false juliI Corys in a Juwel 180 with 10 red phantom tetras, 8 lemon tetras and 1 Otto.
I literally never see the cories. They all hide under a piece of bog wood...
Whilst I agree with Crimson, water changes are always the best way, it is always a good help in my opinion when your tank mates can lend a hand. I keep both ottos and Amano Shrimp and both are very effective. Ottos love diatoms but as you have experienced can be very fragile and...
Just hoping for a quick insight into why a fair few of my fish swim almost on a diagonal. So rather than on a vertical they are almost swimming more on their side.
They don't have clamped fins, swim normally and are perfectly happy otherwise.
Just can't help but feel this...
So here I am setting up a new second 180l tank as safe to safe this hobby has got me, when I see in my existing tank some of neons have little white bits on the tips of their tail fins. (I'll attach some pics).
Is this fin rot? This could be gutting on two fronts, not only because I...
