    Nitrate cycle help?

Then you could go ahead and fill up the test vials and test those with the same ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate tests

    Nitrate cycle help?

Where do you get the water in your aquarium from? If you get from some home tap source, then testing that with the same test kit could be useful

    Nitrate cycle help?

Could you provide us with your tap water parameters? This may not always help but is good to know for others who give advice

Important Please help me and diagnose my angelfish

Did you fully cycle the tank before adding fish? Are you adding anything to protect against the 3 ppm? Water changes?

Tank Situation, increased ammonia & nitrite

Actually I just saw two. They're both on the ground, one was swimming, but the other one was laying on the ground not moving much, if any.

Tank Situation, increased ammonia & nitrite

Well I saw the two oto cats on the days where there were a little spike of ammonia. Its only today where I could only see one. Does this change anything? And can one guppy eat an oto cat that fast?

Tank Situation, increased ammonia & nitrite

My tank was doing fine up until this point. A couple of days ago, my ammonia went up to .25 and nitrite went up to .5, yesterday it was .5/.25-.5. Today, however, they were both 0. I came and noticed that there a bunch of algae had grown on the decoration and the walls. My guppy is doing okay...

    Ich

Mine is currently at 83 degrees F. I am currently dealing with 5 red phantom tetra as well as 1 serpae who was accidentally sold to me.

    Ich

My tetras in my 20 gallon tank have had ich for a little over a week. I upped the temp a couple degrees and have dosed Seachem Paraguard. I took out the carbon from my filter. However, the ich on the tetras seem to only get worse, and one tetra has died while 2 others aren't moving around at all...

    New Tank!

Otocinclus do wonders on brown algae. I had an algae problem in my tank, and within a week in a half, they had cleaned out all of the walls and plants. They spend their entire days sucking and cleaning away, and they're pretty cute to look at. They only eat algae, and for a 29 gallon, I think 3...

    Frustrating/Funny Stories

Hi, not really sure to put this thread. But isn't it ever so slightly frustrating when people on other forums that aren't dedicated to fishkeeping talk about just letting chlorine evaporate and then adding fish in? Without cycling? Like not even hardy fish, but more sensitive ones. I know I...

Help Neon Tetras and Black Phantom Tetras - Tail Biting

I think overall that your 56 litre or 14-ish gal tank is too small to house black phantom tetra and most types of cories.

    Help with my Guppy Please

I noticed this black/brown worm like thing coming out of my guppy. Is this a parasite and how do I treat it? I recently did a water change for my tetras, who are developing ich, and I am wondering if the temperature change caused stress too (I turned on the heater for the ich, but it ended up...
