    I've kept bettas for the last several years, but everything was so low tech.
    I knew nothing of the Nitrogen cycle, I kept them unheated/unfilterd, and did 2x weekly water changes.
    Both lived to approximately 4yo, but I'd still call myself "new to doing it the right way"

    This is my first "big" heated/filtered/cycled tank, and I'm learning as I go, here.
