Is there a US source for this light?

Don't have a source for you but a recommendation; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016P96UA8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have one on my 55 and one on my 29. they come in 2 color frequencies. The footings are solid. The 5600 is great for my plants. They are dimmable...

Does levamisole hurt nitrogen cycle bacteria and/or plants?

I wouldn't prophylactically treat for parasite. The quarantine is for observation not treatment. Once the 8 weeks is up and there are no signs of issues, you are good to go. I don't do fish-in cycling, fishless cycling using ammonia is what I use. No short cuts. I don't have experience with...

Does levamisole hurt nitrogen cycle bacteria and/or plants?

I had a 55 planted tank. I'm pretty sure the Camallanus came in with a pleco. Long story short. 6 months of treatment and I pulled the plug on the tank, euthanized the livestock, took everything out, bleached it and started over. Now I qt everything. I was successful treating a dozen mollys...

Gourami gets issues when it gets older..

I would not consider a one year old gourami old. I've heard of 4-5 year olds having that problem. In the picture of your 75 tank, one of the fish is expelling a long thick white poop. That can mean diet issues, and these can cause swim bladder disorders. You might think about looking at...

Should I treat my main tank?

I feel your pain. Cooper sulfate is the med of choice and it's not a main tank friendly chemical. You could move your livestock to your QT and treat there. It's going to take a while to be sure you got the parasite. You could leave the main tank fallow for 6 weeks. Some folks recommend...

How to fix root tabs leeching into WC

What else is planted in the tank? How is it doing? My understanding of the Black flourite is that it will leach ammonia for months. Heavy planting, frequent water changes and time seem like the solution. Someone else might have a better method.

What makes an Air pump become loud over time?

I have a whisper ap 150 I am very happy with.

What makes an Air pump become loud over time?

There is airflow on one side and the backside is glass. The temp in the coffin is a few degrees higher than the ambient room temperature, so I think it's within an acceptable range. The actual temp of the pump is around 90°. Again, I think within tolerance. But you are right. Increased temp...

What makes an Air pump become loud over time?

You might need to debug it. Given it suddenly started to get awful, open the case, usually phillips headscrew driver will be all you need, check to see if any critter has crawled in to the nice cozy warm inside of your pump and then expired.... While you are there, check to see if the diaphram...

Angelfish need help, already lost two

The first thing I would suggest is to begin doing large water changes - being very careful to match the water temp and ph. If you can, I would do 50% daily for a few days and see if that improves the situation. Angels are so very territorial and can get pretty vicious. Trauma is the #1 cause...

    58g Oceanic Setup

Maybe it's a zombie clam - watch out! I'd love to see your fish room. That is amazing progress. Have you automated (reef-pi or the like) your tanks?

    Bristlenose deaths

Very sorry to hear that. It's a hard lesson to learn. You have to stay with what your water can support. I have hard water and have not been successful with neons. So I learn more about fish before introducing them to my tank and only get what fits. Life is like that.
