    Question Possibly male Betta

I ended up moving the female to a different tank and letting the boys stay together as their getting only fine for now. The little baby started chasing the female, which I'm assuming is because of the introduction of the other male. I tried to put her in a ten gallon with my other female, but...

    Question Possibly male Betta

So I’ve had this particular betta for about a month, and I bought it as a female. Only yesterday I put her in a tank with a another female and a baby male. Now, I know that I should keep males and females separate, but this pair has been out of the ordinary from the start. When I first got...

    Betta Photos

This is my new girl Ris, (pronounced Reese). I randomly came across her in Petco, and decided to get her. I was looking for a flashier female, but once I saw her, I wanted her. Because of her coloring, (or should I say, lack of it), I knew she'd never get picked, and would probably die. So...

    Siblings

I'm now finding my younger siblings to be extremely annoying. My younger sister, who just turned 13, just tonight wanted to have my Ipod to listen to my ASMR stuff. But I told her no, but she ended up ransacking my room, almost opening up my personal journal, and then found my USB with some of...

    Storm Procedures?

Yeah, I only have 2 bettas at the moment, and the rest of my aquariums already live in our basement. I actually just had a tornado watch yesterday, so I scooped my fish, which took me under a minute I believe, so I think I'm good. Thanks!

The veiltail is Bramble, and the other male was Ben-J but he sadly passed away recently. The elephant ear female was Shada and she passed away recently as well. I also have another female, red colored called Sue ,but I don't have a pic of her. (She doesn't sit still either.)

Funny Which Spouse Or So Is Harder To Convince?

My mom doesn't like having the fish tanks around since the fish always seem to die for one reason or another, and she's the one that pays for them... But I want a few more Bettas, and if I pay for them, then it shouldn't be a problem! But nope. She wants us to take care of the animals we...

    Storm Procedures?

That's what I've planned considered. I keep all their cups since I love using them during water changes, and they stay close by under the stand. I'd just have to fish them out of their ten gallons, the two of them, but that isn't that hard and can be accomplished in less than 2 minutes (I...

    Storm Procedures?

I'm not that worried over that so much as the possibility of a tornado.

    Storm Procedures?

So we've had a some severe storm warnings in the past few weeks, and it made me start wondering what other peoples procedures are for storms. Do you take the fish out of the tanks and in separate containers if there is a warning? Or do you just leave them? My Bettas are in my bedroom on the...

How To Bring Ph And Alkalinity Down In A Betta Tank

I believe the Alkalinity was around 300, and the PH around an 8.4

How To Bring Ph And Alkalinity Down In A Betta Tank

I just did a 50% water change in my male Betta's tank today, and tested the water maybe 7 hours later, and my PH and Alkalinity are reading really high. I get my water from a tile line by our house, and it's always been neutral in all aspects. Also, my females tank is reading the same, and it...

    Beginner Or Experienced?

I've had Bettas and other random fish for probably 3-4 years now, and even after dealing with Ich, dropsy, swim bladder issues, fights, and all the other random things, I still would call myself a beginner. (And I agree with it being like raising kids... It totally is..)

So...is This Still A Pond Snail?

I kinda like pond snails because they are easy to find, and all I need to do is plop them into a tank and they clean it up for me. I had a 40g that I just couldn't control the algae in it. But put in some pond snails I brought back from camping and they cleaned up the glass in 24 hours. (And...

So...is This Still A Pond Snail?

Yeah, I would definitely say this is a pond snail. They can get rather big, and they reproduce like wildfire! If you don't want them in your tank, you might want to try removing any you can see, and just keep at it. That's the only way I know of.
