I haven’t fasted him, so I’ll try that. How long should I fast him for? About 3-5 days or so? He’s been pooping so I ruled out constipation, and I think the swelling really just popped up over a two day span. I saw it one day, and then the next it had gotten bigger so I isolated him.
I noticed this almost a week ago and after reading through my fish books and researching, decided it was probably dropsy. So I isolated him and gave him 15 minute epsom salt baths twice a day and added some Kanaplex to his water. He is acting normal, eats the same just has that swollen belly...
So I have some Kalanchoe plants, one of which broke off while transplanting, so I put it in the filter of my ten gallon Betta tank. It's grown a nice root system, and I was wondering if it was possible to plant in my tank?
But my only concern is that Kalanchoes are poisonous, and I wasn't...
It's interesting to know that 2nd person isn't that common. It's kinda my go-to style and I find it the easiest to write in.
And I do write many fanfiction, but I dabble a bit in a fantasy world of my creation containing Centaurs.
I’m honestly just still amazed over the extraordinary behavior showed by my female betta. I placed her on the other side of the divider in the tank where the male lives, and she literally chased that poor thing until I finally grabbed her. I’ve never seen a female terrorize a male. Normally it’s...
I agree with FinalFins. I've tried Melafix before, and it always ends up badly. And I'm not an expert on columnaris, I've never had it with my fish, but I can tell you that it's okay to dose your fish with epsom salt, at a tablespoon per 1 gallon. Hope this helps!
Here’s some pics of all my current Bettas.
The white male is Thranduil.
Red female is Sue III.
Blue male is Illuin. Got him as a female originally.
Red/purple male is Bramble, my eldest.
And the red/white/blue baby male is Harry.
So I have been wanting Cichlids and I finally got my old 56g tank cleaned out and ready to go. I've decided on the type of fish (Mbuna cichlids and possibly some corydoras), but how many would be safe to put in there? I've also thought about mixing other fish with them, so what are compatible...
Okay. I think I will look into getting more plants, or some betta hammocks. I currently don't have a spare tank on hand, (all three of my tens have Bettas in them, lol.) But I can add plants and stuff. Maybe this will give me an excuse to finally try my hand at live plants.
