I have had one half moon betta for 3.5 months. His name is Oberon but we call him Obie. He somehow changes from blue to green and sometimes purplish and has red ventral fins. He has black on top of his head and in little polka dots on his fins. It looks like he's wearing blue lipstick! I started him out in a 1.5 gal tank and then moved him to a 5.5 gal.

He's very energetic and has never been a picky eater (I'm very cautious about not overfeeding). He's curious and friendly and prefers to watch your face instead of follow your finger. He's fearless! Every time I add something new to his tank or change water or vacuum gravel, he's right in the middle of things. He has the most fun chasing and biting the tiny bubbles that come out of his airstone.

I feed him twice daily, 9am & 9pm, except for Sunday when he fasts. I soak his food in tank water, Vitachem or Garlic Guard before feeding. He eats 1. NorthFin Betta Bits, 8 feedings a week. 2. Hikari freeze-dried blood worms, 2 feedings a week. 3. Hikari freeze-dried Daphnia, 2 feedings a week.
