Yes I know I'm a hypocrite with Jupiter. The key facts that people don't know is that he's 9 years old, and hasn't grown since he was 5. (I messed up his childhood. What can I say, young and unprepared) I'm WELL aware he needs to be in a pond, I preach it to others hence the hypocrisy. The issue is, around here ponds can only be open for 6 months of the year and people who know how to properly winterized ponds are few and far between. My two options for him are a well filtered 65 gallon to himself, or some strangers 55g tub with a dozen other fish and poor filtration. Thank you all for the heck, but i'm gonna stick with what I have. He's a smart fish, he's learnt to stick his nose into the filter outtake and swim against that when he wants to go for a cruise and he loves to play with the loaches and my 2 cats. He kisses them when they drink from the tank. He's a healthy active stubborn troublemaker and here's hoping he's gonna last another 9 years. Heck, maybe another 30. (Which is a terrifying thought if you actually think about it) this is the best option for him and I won't make the same mistake again. :)
