The Rabbitfish species are interesting in that they have fins that are poisonous, which means that they need to be respected by the hobbyist. Other fish seem to leave them alone as well. Rabbitfish are rather good algae eaters and will hunt and peck at the live rock throughout the day.
Siganus magnifica Magnificent Foxface Rabbitfish This rabbitfish is not available as often as the One Spot rabbitfish and is usually more expensive. They have venomous dorsal spines and grow to be about 9 inches (22 cm).
Siganus unimaculatus One Spot Foxface Rabbitfish This rabbit fish also has the venomous dorsal spines and needs a diet high in marine algae. Live rock should also provide grazing opportunities in between feedings. Gets up to 8 inches (20 cm).
