Re: crooked danio!

Really nothing you can do... You can try feeding higher protien foods and so on but your Danio is the result of farm breeding. They breed so many that in inbreeding gets so bad you get deformed Danios.

Sorry wish I had better news for you but that's what happens with farm breeding... Just like what happened to the neon tetra.. It used to be a good hardy fish but the years of farm breeding have turned it into a fickle mess.. At least the ones sold at fish stores.. The real ones are still good.

Re: crooked danio!

Will the fish need to be put down? Is it in pain or could you just have a crooked fish? My new platy had babies and one of them is looking crooked. I don't want to kill it but if it is in pain I will. If it isn't and it can swim/eat then I was just going to make sure it didn't breed. bad idea?

Re: crooked danio!

I wouldn't worry about it being in pain.. If it does not swim well and does not eat that would be signs for concern.. Like pain, not forming correctly, and so on. My Danio is doing great... Swims and plays with the best of them so I leave it be..

As for the breeding that is totally up to you..
