I finally have my tank adjusted and went for my fish fish today! I bought 5 Zebra Danios from my local fish store. I have named them (although it is hard to tell them apart) Achebe, Russell, Bobo, Zany, and Bristol. They seem okay, I acclimated them slowly. They are swimming fervently at the very top of the tank. Will they eventually settle down and swim lower? I am excited and hopeful of sucess!

Congrats! I think they will generally stay near the top of the tank. How big is the tank, and is it cycled?

10 gal, and my tank is near full cycle. My nitrite levels are not zero, but more like .5 Fish are calming down now! Yay!

Mine swim all over the place, thru plants and decorations even. They sometimes chase each other around the top and sometimes the chase each other way down at the bottom and sometimes they swim around with my otocinclus catfish taking turns on who's chasing. Very entertaining little fish. Seriously greedy little eaters as well. I haven't found anything they won't eat. They even devour the algae tablets I pop in for my little ottos!

I've noticed that they are very greedy eaters! Mine all rush to the food, then after dinner time is doen, they seem to all pick on whoever got to eat the most! They are definitely some of the craziest fish I've seen!
