i had 2 danios in a tank with 1 gourami, 3 red platys, 1 guppy (fancy tail), antwo 8 inch plecos. i added 7 more danios to the tank because the LFS owner said the chasing would stop if they were schooled. these fish are the meanest i have ever owned. they always have no tail and blood streaks on their body. if they don't work out could they be fed to a jack Dempsey or an Oscar. this may seem cruel but they shredded all my 10 guppies into pieces already which i have had for years. -fishlover78

they are nippy fish, but not to this extent. If they are upsetting you this much, you could get rid of them, return them, or feed them to some other fish.

thank you for your input they are really bad with there aggression. do think adding more would make the problem better or worse? by the way they are pretty big about 1 inch or larger and they eat everything i put in the tank so nothing else eats! the even eat the plecos' plecomin tablets

The problem I found trying to feed them to my oscar was that they are way to quick for it! To feed them to him the best way is to hold it and let the oscar take it out of your hand.

Yeah, they are obnoxious sometimes and they eat anything, I wouldn't add any more, it will add to the problem. You should probably feed them to another fish

yeah they sure are obnoxious they will be taking a trip to a 55 gallon tank with two oscars in it. i can not stand them. all they do is dart around. i seem to leen on the side of more peacful fish. thanks alot -fishlover78

a 27 gal tank (if thats what it is) with that many fish and 2 plecs is deffinately stressful with some overcrowded issues...the plecs alone cause too much waste to keep parimeters good unless water changes are vigorous...maybe return the danios? I dont think your oscars will be able to catch them either unless your danios are sick and slow...goodluck either way!

yeah i know my pleco friends must be on their way they always mess up all the parameters with all their poopy !

I agree with Shawnie. That's probably the biggest issue. A new, danio-only tank, returning them to the pet store, or finding someone to buy them as feeder fish is probably the best bet you've got.

I have Hi fin Blue Danios, Neon Tetras, Black Tetras & Corys... I Love my Danios.. I am suprised to hear they are mean.. do you have the hi- Fin Danio or the regular type?
