Do zebra danios need heaters

I have 2 zebra danios. They were in my tropical fish tank, but it didn't have as much space as i thought they needed, they are very active. Can I put them in with my goldfish? It is a larger, 20 gal tank with lots of open space. It is unheated but is always 17-22C (64-72F) no hotter or colder. and the goldfish are about 3-5 inches. I put them in today and they seem just as happy as in the warmer tank and they love it. Just to see if there would be any problems.

All of your tanks are insanely overstocked.

Goldfish need large tanks (I wouldn't keep them in anything smaller than a 55-75g tank because of their adult size, but some people claim a 40g is large enough...), because their adult size is close to a foot in length. Along with the length they have a much larger bioload than other fish their length.

The danios are tropical and would not thrive with the goldfish.

Your aquarium info lists a 5g with an angelfish, even as a baby that is not a good tank for it.

That is directly due to differing temperature needs.

I made sure to cover your question also, but we are here for the best interest of the fish and I did not mean to be rude or annoy you when I included the other information, however, my job is to work for the fishes' well being, and so I do.

The profile on this site list a temperature range of 65°F - 75°F (18°C - 24°C) for Zebra Danios

I understand that text is what a lot of people go by, and if that is what you choose to use then that is understandable and perfectly alright. I only contradict text when my personal experience differs from said text. Your personal experience may be different.
