Hi, I'm new here, to Fish Lore and to the hobby of aquaria. I just got three Zebra Danios for my Nitrogen (sp?) cycle for a 20g aquarium. I know it is not reccomended to use fish, but that's what was the best option for me. The fish are fine, but after one night they started to get aggressive towards each other and started nipping each other. There are no visible wounds so far. What does this mean? Is it normal?

This is very normal among danios. You will always see danios chasing each other. This is because the danios are always showing their dominance, but I garruntee you that they will not harm each other.

Thankyou so much Fishking. I was happy to see the first reply was such a good one! The danios have calmed down a bit, and they seem to be settling in to their new home nicely.
Please keep posting replys on helping me get through my first aquarium!

Its good to have about 3 to 5 danios in an aquarium. This levels their aggression when they concentrate on each other. Just keep us posted if you have any questions
