Hi, is it alright if I put 6 danios/school with fancy goldfishes? I have a 46 gallon bowfront aquarium, and I've seen somewhere in two different websites that its alright to put a school of danios with fancy goldfishes just as long as there are 5 or more of them (danios). Is it true that danios wont create a "school" even though if there is 6 of them until they "get to know" the tank?
Also, do they always stay in the school group, or sometimes they break off then comeback to the group?

Danio are tropical and goldfish are not tropical. I would not house them together. Its true that the extreme points of their preferrential range for temperature does overlap, but to keep truely healthy fish you should aim at hitting a constant median temperature for what the fish you keep enjoy.
