I was wondering about the spike that YoYos have does it hurt the fish when the spike is used. Just wondering because when I was redecorating my tank I put the fish in a large bucket the two of my yoyos jusped out so I asked my unsuspecting freind to pick it up and put it but and not surprise he was stabbed by the spike lol he said it was really painfull.

It is not damaging but can(as you know) be painful. Clown Loaches have the same kind of eye spine.

If this spike got ripped out of the yoyo could it damage or kill the fish.

I imagine it would not be very happy at all also infection could develop just like any injury.
