Gipsy and the yo-yo band

Gipsy is a betta female rescued from Petsmart. She was 2 cm when I bought her and grey color, fin rot ...
She got very big and is a perfect dark blue. She is crazy. There was no way to mix her with anybody. She atacks neons, shrimp, algae eater, other females betta (at that time much biger then her). I thought for a while that she is a male. Now Gispy is 6 cm ... and the fastes fish ever, continuously swimming, no matter the flow of the filter (though I lower it during the night otherwise she sleeps head down in Wisteria).

Well I bought 2 yo-yo and I decided that she either accepts them or she goes. Surprise !!!! She started the atack like only she can do: flare and speed. But .... believe me I saw her hitting the brakes when she got face to face with the yo-yo. She turn around and run as fast as she could.

Since then they eat together, swim and cuddle. She can race with the yo-yos but they look like atached to her ....

The best combo I have and the most atractive-active one. And the healthiest one .....
L

PS hard to take pictures because they swim so fast.

yes I deffinately agree there is something special about the bonds with yo yo's, they are the only fish my krib pair will get along with! the yo's can swim all over them and they could care less!

Is is true that the yo-yo's have some spikes on the nose and that's why nobody is atacking them ?
For sure my agressive Gipsy has no intention.
My yo-yo's are very active during the day. Night time only one is moving around. The other 2 sleep in their own castles.
Anyway, very nice fishes !

Yes most Botine loaches(yoyos, clowns, striata etc) have spikes under their eyes that can be used for self defense but they seldom raise them other wise. I think gipsy and the Yoyos just like to race around together

One more thing: my yo-yo's make that clicking sound when they eat or when they are very hungry. It's lound enough to hear it well.

Again that is a characteristic of Botine loaches Clowns make that noise sometimes and it sounds like the glass is cracking
