Hello and TY

Hello my name is Cam I'm pretty new to fish keeping myself but have always had fish in my household growing up.

I started with a 20 gallon tank that my Dad gave me just before the new year. After a few losses using some of the older techniques I turned to the internet for some advice/information and stumbled across Fishlore! After reading for many hours on how to set up an aquarium properly and reading about the nitrogen cycle I'm glad to say that I haven't suffered any loses since and now currently have three tanks that are doing well thanks to everyone that shares there expertise on these forums.

I will post some pictures when I figure out where and how to do so.

Thanks again!

Cam

Welcome Cam, looks like Molly has sussed you out and ratted on you haha! I guess you were his influence for joining?!
Glad you both found us (Welcome Molly if I didn't already say it) you will have some fun here, and any questions go ahead, we're here to listen (and sympathise, and laugh, and cry with you!)

EDIT: forgot to say MTS is not a suffering, it's a blessing, an opportunity. Oh heck, what am I saying, it's a necessity!

Perhaps somebody can help me convince Molly that MTS is ok and that I could easily add a 150 gallon Oscar Tank to our place...lol

MTS is as I have mentioned, a necessity. If you would like more fish, more species, different combinations, then MTS is definitely the way to go.
I started with one tank. Within weeks of joining the forum, I was up to 5. I would have more, but lack of space and available plugs are an issue haha!
MTS is the pinnacle of fishkeeping and it is an achievement!
I can't think of anything else right now, but I'll try!

But come on Molly, just a teeny little 150 gal oscar tank in the corner, those guys are small, you'll never notice them, honest ! Did I do good lol!!??

I am all for MTS - except that we don't really have the room and I'm concerned about the loss of fish and plants we would have when we move. I'm sure with Cam's knowledge we will have few, but I think more tanks, more loss when transferring. Right now we have a 65 gallon planted tank, 50 gallon(soon to be Oscar tank), 20 gallon freshwater and 3 betta tanks. . .the above reasons have stopped me from starting a coral tank. LOL! Nice try though.
