stocking vs bioload

hello there new to the forum just wanted to get an idea of what people thought of my setup and possible improvements.Tank size is 80x40x60 or aqua one regency 80. a planted tropical setup comprising of 3 types anubas 2 types sword plant 1 type bulb some bogwood 30-35 kilos mixed gravel fine to medium grain. fish are 3 yoyo loach 1 banjo catfish 1 bristlenose catfish 1 longnose loach 4 amano shrimp 8 albino tiger barbs filter is a fluval 305 heating fluval 200 the tank has been setup since 18/07/2009. The last fish was added 8 weeks ago and the bioload seems to support the fish mass despite exceeding the inch per gallon rule some concern there.readings are pH 7.2 nitrite 0 nitrate 5 ammonia 0. oh and the lighting is standard 48 watts in total 2 bulbs.any comments would be appreciated.

The inch per gallon rule is a good guideline for people new to the hobby. However, there are a lot more factors to considder than how long the fish is. Once you understand what those factors are, you are ready to break away from the 1 inch per gallon rule, IMO.

Most of my tanks exceed the 1 inch per gallon rule. I also have lots of filtration and do weekly 50% water changes.

Welcome to FishLore!
I take it that 80x40x60 are cm ? That's approx 55g Load looks pretty good as far as I can see and has home of my favorite fish and plants(loaches and anubias)
as was said the inch per gallon is just a guide line. Mass, bioload and territory needs of each fish has to be considered also.
Now we need pictures
