Hey, I'm Andrew. I'm new here! I love fish, fishing keeping fish... the only thing i don't like about fish is eating them.
i have 2 tanks one ten gal and one 29
the 29 has an angel 2 blue gouramis 5 neon tetras a cherry barb 1 sunrise platy and some kind of loach
the ten gallon is in cycle but i think i'm gunna put ciclids in it kant wait!

Remember to do your reasearch when buying cichlids.A lot of cichlids can't be kept in a 10 gallon aquarium.I do know that a Shell Dweller Cichlid can be kept in a 10 gallon tank though.just remember to do your research!

I agree, I don't know of any Cichlids that can be kept in a 10 gallon. Most Cichlids grow to at least 9" or bigger. Dwarf Cichlids would be approx. 3-4". I am not a Cichlid expert. If you wanted to do a Cichlid tank I would suggest a 55 gallon or bigger. Good luck!

Hi Andrew, Welcome to Fishlore... now for the bad news, i can't think of a Cichlid that would work in a 10 gal. The 1 inch per 1 gal does not apply with Cichlids, You might want to look at a species like the Tiger Barb or something similiar.
