First of all I want to thank the creator of Fishlore.
I have been out of the hobby for quite so time (about 15 years). Now all I do is read every thread on Fishlore. If I am not at the
LFS.
I am currently in the U.S. Army. I have done three tours in Iraq for a total of 43 months. Getting back into this hobby (life style) is exactly what I needed. I am stationed in Germany and will be here until at least FEB of 2011. Although, I plan on trying to stay in germany as long as I can. I am married to beautiful German/Turkish Woman and I have a very handsom four year old son (looks like his father...HA HA).
I have been buying Aquariums and fish assessories like they are going out of style. It is driving my wife crazy; so I keep sending her to buy shoes and she is happy.
Currently, I have a 55 gallon set up in my living room, a 70 gallon in my basement, and a set of three smaller aquariums with more to come that I am in the process of connecting with my own
DIY project I hope to show photos later.

The three tanks I am currently working on will be connected using some plastic tubing I purchased from the German equivilant of HOME DEPOT called OBI.
My goals include a successful breeding of the Black Ghost Knife Fish. Although I do not speak German I know the LFS will order the BGK for me. I am waiting for my tanks to get VERY settled before I even ask them to order them.
Both of the running tanks were set up in the first week of DEC of 2009. I was using the unreliable test strips for testinf my water trying to justify ordering the
API water test set, But today I found it at the PX for $18 (American). Most of my purchases are done in EURO.
People that have impressed me so far at FishLore are aquarist48, coffeebean, and butterfly. I have seen some really good advice and lots of compliments. I hope to be able to offer advice and just know that I give a great big compliment to those of you that use this forum to share your knowledge and concern for the fish we take into our care.
