Hi, I'm Patrick and have a 55 gallon community tank. I like small schooling fish and have set my tank up with a good number of plants.

I've been keeping aquariums on and off since I was a kid in the 80's but have only been doing it the correct way for the past 4 or 5 months. I started with a 10 gallon, moved into a 30 gallon long, and I found my current tank on Craig's List.

This website has been a great source of information. I really appreciate the help I've received off of it, even though I have not posted, due to being able to find the answers I needed via the search feature.

I uploaded some photos of the tank. The latest ones I took today are not of the best quality. My wife has our camera with her, so I had to shoot them with the video camera and no flash. I have two lights running on top but hope to be getting a new 3 bulb 54W light from Catalina for Christmas. My plants are holding on but will be much happier with the brighter light.

Thanks! I can't wait to see plant growth. As of now, all I'm seeing is gradual root development. When the lighting is added, I think they will take off. Finding true aquatic plants here locally was a challenge.
